The Internet sensation and Emma became the sixth couple eliminated from the competition based on the combination of the Dancing with the Stars judges' scores and home viewer votes they had received during last week's performance show.

"Everyone here, all those guys, are brilliant and this meant so much to me. It was a life changing experience," Hayes said with tears in his eyes following his ouster.

Two other couples were in jeopardy of elimination prior to Hayes and Emma's elimination in this seventh week of competition. Tamar Braxton, a singer, talk show host and sister of Toni Braxton, and partner Val Chmerkovskiy were one of the pairs in the bottom three as well as Spy Kids star Alexa PenaVega and partner Mark Ballas.

However, Tamar and Val and Alexa and Mark were not necessarily bottom-three couples based on the judges' scores and America's votes.

Monday night's DWTS episode dubbed "Halloween Night" featured each couple dancing one spooky-themed performance for DWTS judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli in addition to a "Team Freestyle" -- "Who Ya Gonna Call" Ghostbusters team with Bindi Irwin as its captain vs. "Nightmare" monsters team with Nick Carter as its captain.

Bindi, the daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, and partner Derek Hough topped the judges' leaderboard Monday night with a total of 58 points. They first performed an individual Argentine tango routine that received a perfect score of 30 points from the judges followed by their team dance which earned 28 points.

Second place was a three way tie at 56 total points for Hayes, crooner Andy Grammer and Big Time Rush singer Carlos PenaVega.

Hayes and Emma took the stage with a 26-point worthy waltz routine and followed it up with a perfect score of 30 for their "Team Freestyle" with "Nightmare."

Andy and partner Allison Holker danced the paso doble which received 26 points from the judges. They also performed with the "Nightmare" team and therefore earned an additional 30 points.

Carlos and partner Witney Carson took the stage with a paso doble that earned 28 points from the judges. They also danced with team "Who Ya Gonna Call" for 28 extra points.

Fifth place went to Alexa and partner Mark Ballas. The couple racked in a total of 55 points -- including 27 points for their individual paso doble routine and 28 points for their "Who Ya Gonna Call" performance.

Two couples tied for sixth place with 54 points: Nick, a Backstreet Boys member, and partner Sharna Burgess as well as Tamar and Val.

Nick and Sharna danced the Argentine tango and received 24 points from the judges. He then added 30 points for his "Team Freestyle."

Tamar and Val first took the stage with an individual foxtrot routine worthy of 24 points. The pair also danced with "Nightmare" for an additional 30 points.

Train hero Alek Skarlatos and partner Lindsay Arnold finished in eighth -- and last -- place on the judges' leaderboard with a total of 53 points. They performed an individual waltz that received 25 points and later followed it up with their "Team Freestyle" which earned them 28 more points.

The votes and judges' scores from last night will determine which couple goes home next week.
