90 Day Fiance star Ariela Weinberg has revealed why she initially signed up to star on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way's second season when she's actually camera-shy.

"I've always been shy. I don't like taking pictures. I always hated people taking video of me, so I'm not the person you think would be on reality TV," Ariela told Entertainment Tonight.
During a recent impromptu Q&A session with her fans on Instagram, Ariela therefore shared her motive for appearing on the 90 Day Fiance franchise with her boyfriend Biniyam Shibre, a dancer, choreographer, martial artist and gymnast from Ethiopia.
"Even though I was very camera shy, I agreed to do the show for Bini," Ariela wrote in response to a fan questioning why she had decided to film with TLC and star on 90 Day Fiance.
"I wanted him to get exposure for his talents! Essentially, I found a way to get paid to travel!"
Ariela, a 28-year-old freelance writer from Princeton, NJ, said she first heard about the opportunity to appear on 90 Day Fiance when she stumbled across an ad on "Craigslist looking for people who had fallen in love with foreigners," according to ScreenRant.
Ariela reportedly said she applied thinking production "could get Bini a visa," but then she discovered the show served a different purpose.
Once Ariela learned the premise of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, she decided to go through with filming for exposure to benefit Biniyam's career and also to get paid while traveling.

In addition, ScreenRant reported Ariela did not correct a fan who referred to Biniyam as her "husband."
As shown on Season 2 of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, Ariela, an avid traveler, found out she was pregnant only three months into dating Biniyam while they were in Ethiopia together.

Ariela didn't think Biniyam would receive a K-1 visa in time to deliver their baby in the United States, so she eventually moved back to Ethiopia with the idea of living there permanently in order for her son to grow up with his father around.
Ariela had her concerns about their language barrier, finances, different cultures, opposing religions, and Biniyam's job working in the nightlife industry around attractive women all the time.
But the pair has been shown working out their trust issues and reaching compromises on Season 2 of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, which currently airs Sunday nights on TLC.
Ariela, for example, chose to circumcise her son Aviel after he was born under the pressure of Biniyam and her family, and she also gave in to baptizing the baby in Biniyam's faith as an Ethiopian-Orthodox Christian.

"I'm not sure Ariela even realizes how much she's sacrificing to be here in Ethiopia. I really feel there's a lot of family pressure from his side and she has no support for her own opinions," Ariela's mother Janice told the cameras in the latest episode.
But Ariela had apparently made up her mind about staying in Ethiopia, even though her lifestyle didn't meet her parents' expectations.

"Things are not going to be easy, but when you love someone, you try to work through the hard stuff. This is the decision I have made, and I'm sticking to it."
