The network had formally renewed Top Chef for a sixth season in April and the Sin City represents the sixth different location for the culinary competition series, which now ranks as Bravo's highest-rated series following Project Runway's move to Lifetime.

Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi, lead judge Tom Colicchio and judges Gail Simmons and Toby Young will all reprise their roles for the show's sixth season.

Bravo's confirmation comes weeks after reports that Top Chef's sixth season had been filming in Las Vegas first began surfacing.  The season's wrap party -- which included appearances by Lakshmi, Colicchio and Simmons -- took place at the Wynn Las Vegas casino resort this past weekend, eater.com reported Monday.

Top Chef's first season filmed in San Francisco while its second installment moved slightly south and shot in Los Angeles.  The show's third season then filmed in Miami and was followed by seasons in Chicago (Season 4) and New York (Season 5).

Top Chef: New York -- which aired its finale in February and was won by Hosea Rosenberg -- was the highest-rated season ever for the culinary competition, averaging nearly four million total viewers and almost three million viewers in the Adults 18-49 demographic.

Top Chef: Las Vegas is currently slated to premiere later this year.
