Bravo announced it has renewed The Real Housewives of Atlanta for a second season.

"The level of engagement on Atlanta far surpasses a typical series on cable or broadcast, with our viewers deepening their connection to the show through live wireless chats, daily blogs and additional footage online," said Bravo executive Frances Berwick.
"This, along with the colorful personalities of our housewives, helped drive the series to a watercooler sensation."
The latest version of the network's The Real Housewives reality franchise, The Real Housewives of Atlanta premiered in September and averaged 1.495 million total viewers and 1.13 million viewers in the Adults 18-49 demographic during its recently completed first season.
