Brie Bella is confident that her husband Daniel Bryan will wrestle once again whether it's inside the WWE or not following his 2016 retirement.

"And I told Bryan, 'You do have a daughter, so always remember that. But if the doctors finally give you the green light,' I go, 'Go! This is your dream and passion," Bella said recently while appearing alongside her twin sister Nikki on podcast From The Tope Rope.

"You have one life to live and I will never hold you back.' ... Because I love to wrestle, and I would hate if someone told me you can't do it. And if WWE doesn't allow it, then I said, 'Go somewhere else. It's all on you,'" she continued.

"Obviously he would love to be able to get back in that WWE ring, but I know for a fact my husband is going to find his way back to the ring. He honestly is."

Bryan, real name Bryan Danielson, retired from in-ring action in Feb. 2016 on the advice of doctors after suffering from a concussion-related injury.

His last major match took place at WrestleMania 31 back in March of 2015 after he won the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Bryan has remained on WWE television in a primary role as the general manager of "Smackdown Live. "

The former Heavyweight Champion is also seen on "Total Divas" and "Total Bellas" opposite the Bella Twins and John Cena.

"A new journey awaits us and for the rest of our lives we'll talk about this one," Bella previously said on social media of her husband's retirement. "You have given so much hope and inspiration to people all over. We haven't lost you, just get to see you in a different light."

Bryan teased fans in June that would return to wrestle former WWE star Cody Rhodes who is the current Ring of Honor Champion if Rhodes gets close to beating his title reign from his time in the company.

"Side note, if you hold the @ringofhonor title 462 days I may have to come after you, which would be 9/28/18. Be forewarned! #FinalCountdown," Bryan wrote to Rhodes on Twitter.
