"The last 24 hours have been an emotional roller coaster but I'd like to thank everyone for being so supportive throughout my sister Danielle & Richards pregnancy. The both of them have shown the true measure of courage and faith for the last 9 months and I can't praise them more," Christina, 33, captioned a photo of the baby's little foot wrapped in bandages on Instagram Wednesday.
"Our family was blessed to have met our little Angel Baby Richie. We were fighting for him and with him the whole way and are now coping with the direction in which fate took. I ask that you keep him and our entire family in your prayers -- Especially Danielle, Richard, Naomi & Dj and know that we've all been touched by our little Guardian Angel. His memory will forever live on in our thoughts and our hearts."
The Christina Milian Turned Up star concluded her post by writing, "May he now rest in peace in the arms of our Heavenly Father. stay blessed."
Danielle, who co-stars on her sister's E! reality series, shared the same photo of her son yesterday on Instagram. Richie Bear had been diagnosed with Omphalocele, a life-threatening birth defect that causes internal organs to grow outside the body, according to People.
"Yesterday I was blessed with the birth of my Richie Bear. Unfortunately, last night he took his place with the Lord and we said goodbye," Danielle, 29, wrote. "I so appreciate the prayers and support from everyone. He touched my heart and was perfect in so many ways."
Danielle and her husband, Richard Dickerson, already have a one-year-old daughter together named Naomi. Danielle also has an eight-year-old son Daniel from a previous relationship.
Christina served as The Voice's social media correspondent from Season 2 to Season 4. She had also competed on Dancing with the Stars' seventeenth season back in 2013. Christina got eliminated from the reality dancing competition in Week 5 with her pro partner Mark Ballas.
Christina Milian Turned Up debuted on E! in January of this year. The series was renewed for a second season in April and it's slated to premiere in November 2015.
