Colton Underwood has revealed he has tested positive for coronavirus and is trying to recover at girlfriend Cassie Randolph's family's house in Huntington Beach, CA.

The Bachelor's Season 23 star took to Instagram on Friday night to announce he's currently battling the coronavirus and advise others to "do your part" and remain quarantined.

Colton filmed a video and began it by saying people should take this pandemic seriously because it doesn't just hit the elderly hard.

"I want to let you guys know I'm 28. I consider myself pretty healthy. I work out regularly, I eat healthy, and I've became symptomatic a few days ago and got my test results back today, and they are positive," Colton said in a video he posted.

Not only was Colton's voice a bit hoarse in the video, but he also appeared to be sweating slightly.

Symptoms associated with coronavirus are fever, cough and difficulty breathing.

"It's been kicking my ass, just to put it very bluntly. The main thing is I can't even walk up a flight of stairs without being out of breath or go to the bathroom without having to sit down because I'm exhausted," Colton admitted.

"So, I guess the reason I'm sharing this is not to cause fear or panic but to hopefully encourage you guys to stay at home. Do your part. Take care of yourselves, take care of one another. I'm doing okay."

Colton added he's "fortunate" to have Cassie and her family taking care of him.

"But unfortunately, it means we're all in this together at this point," Colton continued.

"So, we'll keep you posted but we are in good spirits. And I just want to encourage everybody to stay at home, stay in your house, do your part, and take care of one another, alright? Love you guys."

Colton captioned the post by writing "we got this" and "I tested positive."

"I have been following all of the social distancing rules since last week. My symptoms started a few days ago, I was tested and just received my results today," Colton wrote alongside the video.

"For anyone out there that is hesitant to self quarantine... please do yourself and your loved ones a favor and stay home. We will all beat this and come out stronger on the other side. I'll keep you posted, Love y'all."

Colton received an abundance of well-wishes, encouragement and support from Bachelor Nation.

"Praying for you Colton! Feel better!" The Bachelorette's Season 15 star Hannah Brown wrote in the comments section.

"Sorry to hear this brother. Praying for you. Get better!" wrote The Bachelor host Chris Harrison.

Prior to handing out roses, Colton competed for Becca Kufrin on The Bachelorette's fourteenth season and also appeared on one season of Bachelor in Paradise.

"Feel better," commented Becca. "Skip the stairs and stay on the couch buddy!"

The Bachelor's Season 22 star Arie Luyendyk Jr. wrote, "Dang dude stay safe and feel better, keep us posted."

Becca Tilley, Clay Harbor, Jillian Harris, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Trista Sutter, and Vanessa Grimaldi also shared some love with Colton, as well as Dancing with the Stars pro Keo Motsepe.

Former The Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky was also tested for coronavirus last week but just announced she received a negative test result back.

"I am negative for coronavirus," Ali announced in a Instagram Live video on Sunday. "I'm so happy and grateful... [now I can] go see a primary care physician to find out what's going on with my lungs... I've had a fever of over 100 for the past two days."

Ali recalled the coronavirus test being "intense" and "not pleasant." She explained a swab had been stuck up both of her nostrils multiple times -- which apparently hurt and caused her to tear up -- and she also received a respiratory test.

The coronavirus outbreak has led many major cities, including New York City, to shut down restaurants, bars, schools and businesses as the number of confirmed cases rises.

The coronavirus pandemic has also affected production schedules of dozens of television shows, including The Bachelorette, Survivor and The Amazing Race.

When Colton starred on The Bachelor in 2019, his season ended prematurely when he fell in love with and selected Cassie over his other two remaining bachelorettes, Tayshia Adams and Hannah Godwin.

Colton had made up his mind before even finishing out his round of overnight Fantasy Suite dates.

Cassie, however, attempted to quit The Bachelor when Colton was prepared to give her the final rose. Cassie didn't feel ready to get engaged after dating Colton for such a short period of time, and so he fought for her to stay and took pressure off the table.

Cassie was hesitant to continue but decided to stick around for Colton, and then she proceeded to meet his family on the show and fall in love with him once filming wrapped.

Colton and Cassie are still dating and going strong, but Cassie has admitted on numerous occasions she feels no rush to live with Colton or get engaged, although she says she can definitely envision a future with him.
