Now, according to sources, Nick has definitely signed on for the next Dancing with the Stars edition and he's set to compete, E! News reported.
Nick, a 36-year-old former software salesman from Wisconsin, recently hinted he'd be up for an experience in the Dancing with the Stars ballroom. He told Entertainment Tonight, "I think it would be fun, you know? Who wouldn't want to do it?"
Although he said he's currently "focused on being The Bachelor," Nick explained, "[But] if they asked... I think anyone would feel lucky to even be considered... I think I would be open to any great opportunity."
He added, "I never thought I'd go back on [Bachelor in Paradise] or The Bachelorette or The Bachelor, but I think I have learned in life that it is best to sit back and let things come your way, and take each situation on its own."
Nick will be following in the footsteps of former The Bachelor stars Sean Lowe, Jake Pavelka and Chris Soules as well as former The Bachelorette star Trista Sutter.
Melissa Rycroft, who competed on Jason Mesnick's season of the franchise, also stole the spotlight on two previous Dancing with the Stars editions.
Nick has given viewers a little taste of his dancing skills on The Bachelor already. During a one-on-one date with Rachel Lindsay in New Orleans, he broke it down to the beat of a street parade and the Dallas attorney was sincerely impressed by his "swag."
As far as his The Bachelor season goes, Nick must eliminate one bachelorette after hometowns on the February 27 episode -- Lindsay, Raven Gates, Corinne Olympios or Vanessa Grimaldi -- before embarking on his round of overnight Fantasy-Suite dates with the three remaining women in Finland.
If Nick's journey on The Bachelor ended with a proposal, hopefully his fiancee will be supportive of his new endeavor and cheer him on in the audience. The high-stakes competition can be a lot for its contestants, and Soules unfortunately split from his Season 19 The Bachelor fiancee, Whitney Bischoff, shortly after his DWTS stint.
As previously reported, the following celebrities have opted to compete on Dancing with the Stars next season as well: Iconic figure skater Nancy Kerrigan, a member from the musical group Fifth Harmony, Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, and professional wrestler Mr. T, formally known as Laurence Tureaudare.
ABC has continued to decline comment on casting rumors, as the official lineup will be revealed Wednesday, March 1 on Good Morning America.

However, fan-favorite pro dancers Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his fiancee Peta Murgatroyd recently confirmed their return to the show after welcoming their first child together, son Shai Aleksander, in early January.
Season 24 of Dancing with the Stars is set to premiere Monday, March 20 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
