Darcey Silva was a 42-year-old who worked in the fashion industry from Middletown, CT, and Jesse Meester was a 24-year-old from Amsterdam, Netherlands, when they starred on Season 2 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days.
Darcey found love with Jesse online and claimed it was love at first sight when she first met him in Amsterdam due to their undeniable chemistry.
Season 2 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days featured Jesse coming to the United States for the first time to visit Darcey and meet her two daughters.
Jesse fell in love with New York City and her home in Connecticut, but every day was a struggle for the couple, as they bickered and argued constantly over seemingly insignificant issues.
While Jesse was annoyed with Darcey's use of social media and her alleged nit-picking tendencies, Darcey often accused Jesse of patronizing her or being controlling and condescending.
Jesse broke up with Darcey on-camera and the pair trashed each other in the press and on social media for weeks.
When they reunited for the spinoff's reunion special, however, they remembered their good times together and hugged it out.
After her relationship with Jesse ended, Darcey began dating a British businessman named Tom Brooks and appeared on Seasons 3 and 4 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days with him.
Jesse, meanwhile, subsequently moved to Russia, where he began an online relationship with Jeniffer Tarazona, a Columbian model who appeared on Season 3 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days with boyfriend Timothy Malcolm.
Despite a rough visit, 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days' third season concluded with Tim and Jeniffer still together when Tim left Columbia after visiting Jeniffer in her home country, the couple's relationship ended shortly after he returned to America.
In October 2021, discovery+ announced Jesse and Jeniffer would appear on the second season of 90 Day: The Single Life, which follows 90 Day Fiance alums as they resume dating following the failure of their prior 90 Day Fiance relationships.
Season 2 of 90 Day: The Single Life premiered on the streaming service in November 2021 and concluded in February 2022.
Jesse and Jeniffer were still together when they appeared on The Single Life season's Tell-All reunion.
While they participated remotely from a vacation resort in Cancun, Mexico, Jesse and Jeniffer claimed that they planned to move to Spain together soon.
