David Toborowsky was a 48-year-old from Louisville, KY, and Annie Suwan was a 24-year-old from Bueng Kan, Thailand when she arrived in America on a K-1 visa.
After originally appearing on Season 5 of 90 Day Fiance, David and Annie also returned for Season 3 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?.
David and Annie first met at a bar while he was living in Thailand.
David struggled financially, especially when it came to impressing and receiving approval from Annie's parents.
Despite allegations against David of substance abuse and infidelity, Annie still married him and they are still together.
In April 2019, TLC released Season 3 of 90 Day Fiance: What Now?, its online digital series that is available for streaming on tlc.com and the network's TLC GO app. The 21-episode season included three episodes focused on David and Annie.
The 90 Day Fiance: What Now? episodes showed David and Annie still in the same living situation as they were at the conclusion of the third season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?.
Although David had found a part-time job teaching English as a Second Language classes to adults in the Lexington, KY area, the couple was still living in an apartment above a storage facility owned by David's friend Chris.
However, Annie had finally received her travel and work permits after waiting over five months for her paperwork to be processed.
Annie also dropped a bombshell about what she'd like to do with her new work permit.
"I'm going to join with the Army," she told the cameras. "I think I will join the military because that kind of job is very professional. That's successful in life if you can serve with the country."
David also pointed out to Annie that serving in the military could pay for her college education, and that there are American military bases in Hawaii -- which is much closer to Thailand, her home country, than Kentucky.
However, after the What Now? Season 3 footage was filmed, David and Annie were forced to move out of the storage facility apartment because David's friend sold the business.
During a June 2019 appearance on 90 Day Fiance: Live, David said he and Annie were currently traveling the country and staying with family and friends.
In August 2019, the couple -- who have also continued to make appearance on TLC's 90 Day Fiance: Pillow Talk commentary show -- announced that they had decided to settle in Arizona and are living in an apartment in Scottsdale.
According to David, he was teaching online.
"I am teaching and we have a contract with a company that has business in Asia," he wrote in a September 2019 posting on Facebook.
"I teach online with Chinese students who have basic English level, focus on terminology in Economics and English for Business usage."
David and Annie have continued to appear on 90 Day Fiance: Pillow Talk.
In addition, the couple also filmed footage for Season 4 of 90 Day Fiance: What Now?, which was released online in early 2020, and 90 Day Fiance: Self-Quarantined, which aired on TLC in early 2020.
The couple continues to live in Arizona.
In a September 2020 episode of 90 Day Fiance: Pillow Talk, David and Annie were shown celebrating their move to a new home in Fountain Hills, AZ.
In 2022, David and Annie co-starred in their own 90 Day Fiance spinoff entitled David & Annie: After the 90 Days. The series showed the couple returning to Thailand to attempt to bring Annie's 14-year-old brother Jordan and 16-year-old cousin Amber to America.
TLC renewedDavid & Annie: After the 90 Days for a second season in May 2022.
