"I can do it... Why not? I've got nothing to lose. I don't lose my day job. I might lose my masculinity, but that's okay," Hansen told Leno. "It's a challenge. What the hell?"
To show him what it would be like, Leno had Hansen practice the cha cha with a professional dancer, who actually thought the Northwestern captain did a good job -- although she was hard on him.
"When you're used to being your own boss and all of a sudden you've got this little girl that's telling you what to do, it's not an easy pill to swallow," said Hansen during the video package of his dancing.
Leno told Hansen that they've started a Facebook petition in an attempt to land him on Dancing with the Stars.
