Producers for the summer series will travel to New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Atlanta in search of talented dancers who "best represent the rhythm of America."  Those who spark interest during auditions will then be invited to call-backs where they will work with choreographers to determine the Top 20 dancers who will continue in the competition.

Last season's winner, Benji Schwimmer, received $100,000, a new car and a contract to appear in Celine Dion's "A New Day" show in Las Vegas.  Fox announced So You Think You Can Dance was renewed for a third season last August, however the network has not yet announced what the series' third season winner will receive.

Second season host Cat Deeley will return to host the show's third season.  So You Think You Can Dance  was created by America Idol producers Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe and is produced by 19 Entertainment, Ltd. and Dick Clark Productions.  It is executive-produced by Fuller, Lythgoe and Allen Shapiro.

Casting is open to persons between the ages of 18 and 30 at the time of the audition who are either U.S. citizens, permanent residents of the U.S., or possess a current legal visa allowing them to seek employment in the U.S. without restriction as to employer.  The following is the current schedule of So You Think You Can Dance 3 casting calls.  More information will be available at fox.com.
