The cause of the former The Bachelor bachelorette and Bachelor Pad contestant's death is still undisclosed.
According to one of Allemand's good friends, the reality TV star was on life support "with little pulse and barely breathing" as of Tuesday evening, E! News reported.
Allemand's representative had released a statement to CNN on Tuesday disclosing Allemand had suffered "a serious emergency medical event" Monday night that left her hospitalized in critical condition. While her family requested privacy during the difficult time, no additional details were given.
Allemand competed on The Bachelor's fourteenth season, which aired in 2010 and starred Jake Pavelka.
Allemand was one of the last three The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love bachelorettes in the running to receive Pavelka's final rose, however he eliminated her in favor of Tenley Molzahn and Vienna Girardi at the season's penultimate Rose Ceremony.
Afterward, Allemand returned to compete on the first and second seasons of the reality dating show's Bachelor Pad spinoff, which aired in 2010 and 2011 respectively.
