Stefani shook the president's hand after her closing song, according to E! News.

Vice president Joe Biden, singer Frank Ocean and "Today" anchor Savannah Guthrie were among the other famous faces in attendance. The Obamas and their guests enjoyed a dinner prepared by chef Mario Batali.

Stefani and her three sons, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo, had visited with the president and the prime minister earlier in the day.

Renzi shared a photo of the group in the Oval Office on Facebook.
