Friends and family may not have been informed of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt's "surprise" wedding last week, but The Hills' production crew apparently received their invitations in the nick of time.
"MTV is currently filming Heidi and Spencer in Mexico, as we were expecting to capture them on vacation," The Hills executive producer Liz Gateley told MTV News. "Fans will be able to see the exclusive footage from the ceremony in an upcoming episode, and we will continue to follow the newlyweds' relationship as it plays out in real life."
There is not yet a timeframe for when the episodes will be ready to air, according to MTV. Montag and Pratt had previously been engaged, but called it off last year, only to resume dating shortly afterwards. While vacationing at the One & Only Palmilla resort in Cabo san Lucas on November 20, the couple -- at Pratt's suggestion -- decided to elope and married in a low-key 15-minute ceremony in which they exchanged leather rings while wearing beach clothes they had packed with them. No family members or friends were reportedly present for the ceremony. |
