Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi's first post-split reunion apparently didn't go very well.

The former The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love couple taped a joint interview on Wednesday night that ended with Girardi storming off the set in tears, Us Weekly reported.

"They couldn't even have an adult conversation while a mediator was there with them," a source told Us.

During the interview -- which was moderated by The Bachelor host Chris Harrison and will air on ABC's July 5 broadcast of The Bachelorette -- Girardi reportedly kept cutting Pavelka off, causing him to eventually stand and ask if he could finish speaking.

"He couldn't get a word out -- it was very reflective of their relationship," the source told Us, adding Harrison had to keep telling Girardi to let Pavelka speak.

"Vienna was on the defense. She was trying to play victim."

Additional Wednesday reports alleged that Pavelka appeared to physically threaten Girardi -- as TMZ claimed at one point he "pulled his arm back while making a fist" and RadarOnline reported he "lost his temper" and "cocked his arm and made a fist in Vienna's direction," however ABC has denied the reports.

"Former The Bachelor participants Jake and Vienna taped an interview last night. As this was the first time the two had seen one another since their recent breakup, the atmosphere was emotionally charged," a The Bachelor representative told Us.

"However, and contrary to reports that have surfaced about the interview, at no time was anyone ever physically in harm's way, nor was anyone ever threatened with physical violence."

A source also denied the reports to Us, claiming Pavelka was not violent.

"He was calm and collected," added the source.

The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love couple issued a statement confirming their split on Monday night after Greek actor Gregory Michael said Girardi told him she was single and no longer with Pavelka when they met while attending a children's hospital prom near Los Angeles on Saturday. 

Girardi and Michael were subsequently seen kissing at a Santa Monica public beach party event on Sunday.

Pavelka has stated that he initiated the split because Girardi sold her story to Star magazine, while she claims she dumped him because he had refused to be "intimate" with her for the last four months.

"Jake has lost all respect for her," the source told Us. "She crossed the line when she sold their relationship to Star."

The joint interview was filmed at an undisclosed location, according to Us, which added Pavelka and Girardi arrived separately.
