Jennifer Hudson opened up about the revealing bathing suit picture she shared over the summer during an appearance at "The Wendy Williams Show" on Thursday.
Hudson told Williams getting to that point was a "goal" because she's "from Chicago."
"We don't really go to the beach or swimming. You know, it's too cold for all of that. I didn't even know we had beaches, but I was in Mexico and I made it a summer goal," she said. "I didn't even know it was a bikini until I was reading the comments online."
Hudson attended Williams' show to promote her third studio album JHUD, which was released on Sept. 23. The singer told the host the album's title was chosen to give fans a sense of the person she truly is.
"The name of the album is JHud because I want people to get a sense of the girl, who I am every day versus the persona of Jennifer Hudson," she said. "I feel your fans should get to know your person and who you are."
