A cast member of MTV's reality show "Jersey Shore" says she was attacked while at a New York mall.

Angelina "Jolie" Pivarnick, 22, said she and a friend were assaulted at the Staten Island Mall Saturday and her mother alleged mall security refused to help them, the New York Post reported Sunday.

"The security guards did nothing to help them and told her, 'This is a publicity stunt, we have no time for this,' " Pivarnick's mother, Ann Marie said.

The mother told Radar Online her daughter and her daughter's friend, Jeanine Vaiana, "got jumped."

Pivarnick told police she and her friend were shopping for Halloween costumes when a group of angry young people approached them. Pivarnick said she was punched in the back of the head and Vaiana was hit in the face with a bottle.

Pivarnick has said she won't be part of Jersey Shore's third season.
