Juliana Pasquarosa apparently would've passed on the princess-style date with Grant in Scotland had she been able to select a one-on-one date for herself on The Bachelor.

"We did a little dress up, we drank some champagne, we got to dance on a red carpet!" Juliana recalled of her one-on-one date with Grant during a recent appearance on the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast, which is co-hosted by Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt.

"How awkward was that?" Joe asked.

"So awkward!" Juliana replied with a laugh.

Serena, who had competed on Matt James' The Bachelor season and met Joe on Bachelor in Paradise, pointed out from experience, "The worst thing about those dates is you're like, 'I don't want to do this, but... the sooner we get this done, the sooner it's over.'"

Serena guessed that Juliana was thinking something along the lines of, "The sooner we nail this dance, the sooner we can stop dancing!"

"Yes!" Juliana confirmed.

"I was, like, praying that my date was not going to involve one of those, you know, singers or artists and it's just you two. I'm so awkward and I don't know how to dance."

Juliana elaborated, "So I was like, 'That's probably not for me,' but luckily, we had professional dancers around us, and I hope they were stealing the show!"

Although the date brought Juliana out of her comfort zone, she said things were going "really good" with Grant at that point.

"I think this was definitely one of the times where we just had fun during the date portion, for sure," shared the bachelorette from Newton, MA.

"In the little moments you have when you're not having a deep conversation and you're switching up scenes or settings, you kind of get to know somebody in those little moments a lot more. So I started to feel really comfortable with him."

Juliana said she and Grant didn't want to have "surface level" conversations, but at the same time, they wanted to let loose and be themselves.

"We were like, 'Let's just have fun because we don't know what's going to happen, so let's try to enjoy each other's company and see if this is something that could actually work in the outside world.' And we did that!" Juliana gushed.

Juliana also said she was grateful to have received a one-on-one date so late into the season.

"Honestly, I think the later one-on-ones are a little bit better because if you have such a good time and you are able to get deeper, then, moving forward, there are less and less girls so you get more time to continue to work on that," Juliana explained.

"In the beginning, you feel for girls who get the first one-on-ones because then kind of the rest of the time, they're watching other people get those opportunities and you're back in a group setting."

Alexe Godin, for example, received the first one-on-one date of the season and was then forced to interact with Grant only through group dates and during cocktail parties.

Serena acknowledged how Juliana went from group dates to one-on-one dates and never had to look back.

Because after Juliana received a one-on-one date in Scotland, she received a rose from Grant and then hometowns were up next.

"It was a good feeling, yeah," Juliana noted.

Grant's other Final 4 bachelorettes are Dina Lupancu, Litia Garr and Zoe McGrady.

The next The Bachelor episode airs Monday, March 3 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC, and based on a preview of what's to come, Juliana's hometown date is going to be a little intense.

During a preview of hometown dates that aired at the end of The Bachelor's February 24 episode, Grant gives Juliana a little kiss in front of her family and her father snaps, "Did you just kiss my daughter?!"

Juliana's dad proceeds to warn The Bachelor star, "I'm an Italian guy. We protect our own; I've got a problem on my hands."

Juliana is very close to her family and seems to be a daddy's girl, which may have complicated her relationship with Grant.

In January 2025, Juliana had written on Instagram in honor of her father's birthday, "Forever in awe of all you do for your family, friends, community, & even strangers. The epitome of 'it's nice to be nice.'"

Grant laments in The Bachelor preview that hometown dates were "a lot harder than" he "expected it to be," before adding, "The family not buying in could be a make-or-break situation."
