June "Mama June" Shannon has revealed that her daughter Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell's cancer is terminal and that the whole family has had to accept the prognosis.

The Mama June: From Not to Hot and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star said Anna, 28, has been battling stage 4 adrenal carcinoma.
"She's not going to go into remission," Shannon claimed. "We've all accepted that, so I just tell people one day at a time because you never know."
Anna has already completed four rounds of chemotherapy but is doing "okay," according to her loved ones.
"A lot of people thought that it was going to make her sick and stuff like that, [but] she's able to bounce back pretty quick," Anna's younger sister Lauryn, 23, told ET.
The youngest sibling, Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, added, "It does wear her body down sometimes."
But other than that, the 17-year-old former Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star said Anna is doing "pretty good" -- and Lauryn agreed.
"She can still go to the grocery store, she can drive herself, she's still able to take the kids to and from places," Lauryn said, before noting that Anna "doesn't have hair" or eyebrows anymore.
The next step for Anna is to undergo clinical trials or immune therapy; however, Anna apparently hasn't decided if she wants to endure additional treatment.
"She just wants to see how it's going to go," June said of Anna. "We don't know what to expect because the cancer is very aggressive and it grew from nothing to something huge on the left side of her body really fast."
June -- who is also mom to daughter Jessica, 26 -- is faced with a harsh reality going forward.
"It is crazy to think that she will not be here probably in five years, but I'm hoping that she can pull through and fight 10, 20 years," June stated.

Anna's cancer diagnosis first made headlines in late March, a couple of months after Anna learned she has stage 4 adrenal carcinoma.
Anna sought treatment in January when she was experiencing bad stomach pains.
Anna's loved ones said that her daughters -- Kaitlyn, 10, and Kylee, 7, whom she shares with ex-husband Michael Cardwell -- understand that Anna is sick but they aren't aware of how serious her condition is and what cancer even means.
"Kaitlyn was always close with Anna but now she doesn't go anywhere without Anna. I get that because she's thinking if Anna goes somewhere then maybe Anna might not be at the house when she gets back," June said.
June claimed to Us Weekly that her family hasn't been receiving much support from relatives during the difficult time.
"The people that are only here is me, Justin, [Lauryn], Alana, her boyfriend [Eldridge Toney], and Jessica," the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo alum told the magazine. "Nobody else is here for Anna, nobody else goes to treatment, nobody else goes to her house."
The Season 6 finale of Mama June: From Not to Hot is set to air Friday, July 14 on WE tv.
