Nick Gordon may face more than a civil lawsuit.

According to a source, the grand jury will likely come to a conclusion this week as to whether Gordon will be criminally charged in Bobbi Kristina's case, which is still open and under investigation. Criminal charges of some kind will be filed "very soon," said the source, and the district attorney is consulting with legal experts to determine if murder charges would stick.
As of right now, Gordon has only been slapped with an amended civil wrongful death lawsuit filed by Bobbi Kristina's conservator Bedelia Hargrove.
The lawsuit listed disturbing details of the events that allegedly transpired leading up to Bobbi Kristina's body being found face down and unresponsive in her Roswell home's bathtub -- including how she and Gordon allegedly got into a terrible argument during which he gave her a "toxic cocktail" that left Bobbi Kristina unconscious with a tooth hanging in her mouth.
"The recent lawsuit against Nick is slanderous and meritless," Gordon's legal team said in a statement obtained by Us.
"Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love, and it's shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly. Nick has engaged civil counsel and intends to defend the lawsuit vigorously and expose it for what it is: a fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most."
After an emotional interview with Dr. Phil in April, Gordon checked himself into rehab and has since been living in Florida. Bobbi Kristina is the daughter of singer Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston.
