In the Wednesday interview, Nick shared his desires, expectations and challenges on the show. He even addressed some juicy rumors out there.
Nick talked to Reality TV World about whether he found love on The Bachelor and how he felt upon seeing a woman from his past on Night 1 of filming. Below is what Nick had to say.
Reality TV World: I'm assuming you can't reveal whether you got engaged, but can you tell me if you're happy with how your journey as the Bachelor ended? Was it everything you hoped for? Did you find love again?
Nick Viall: I think I can definitely say I found love. I won't be able to give you much more detail about that other than you'll have to watch and see how that played out and what it all meant. But I certainly have no regrets. I never look back. And regardless of how it all played out, I always look forward. I overall feel good about things.
Reality TV World: ABC has teased that a girl from your past shows up on Night 1 and you're forced to question her intentions. What can you tell us anything about this meeting? Did her arrival shock you or make you uncomfortable? Did you really see potential to fall in love with this woman since you already knew her?
Nick Viall: I can't give too much detail away other than the fact that I didn't know that someone from my past would show up, and certainly when that happened, I think anyone would be shocked. As far as how it all plays out or what I thought about it, I think that will be a very compelling part of the first episode, and I look forward to checking it out.
Also during the conference call, Nick talked to reporters about any hesitation he had going into The Bachelor and why he thought this time would be different from his previous seasons.
Now that the world is about to see you go through this for the fourth time, what hesitations did you have to put yourself out there again?
Nick Viall: Not really any hesitations. I mean, I think when I was asked to be the Bachelor, there was certainly a lot of thought that went into that and certainly some nerves and fears that went into that.
But, you know, having gone through it, I'm not someone who tends to look back. I try to look forward and I've always been willing to put myself out there and be vulnerable in previous seasons, so I don't really think this season is going to be any different in that sense.
What made you think a fourth time on this type of reality dating show would be different after the first three tries didn't work out well?

Nick Viall: You just never know. At first, I didn't know if it was going to be different. But whether it's as the Bachelor or in life, I don't think I'll ever give up on the possibility of finding love, so to speak, and I think being the Bachelor certainly has incredibly different opportunities than going on The Bachelorette or going on Bachelor in Paradise.
It is something I was optimistic would work out, certainly no guarantees. I think a lot of people go into a The Bachelor season assuming that it's going to work out for the Bachelor or Bachelorette, and you know, it often does, but I think I went into it with kind of a realization that there's no guarantee. But I went in with the optimistic hope that it would.
