The CW has announced that former supermodel and Dancing with the Stars celebrity participant Paulina Porizkova will be replacing Twiggy on America's Next Top Model's judging panel when the reality show's tenth edition premieres in early 2008.

Twiggy, a 58-year-old former British model, has been a regular member of Top Model's judging panel since she replaced Janice Dickinson for the show's Fall 2005 fifth season. At the time, the now-defunct UPN announced Dickinson was leaving Top Model for that classic PR reason -- "to pursue other projects."
While Mok's comments about Porizkova's addition appear to be a virtual word-for-word recycling of the May 2005 statement that announced Twiggy's addition, the explanation for Twiggy's departure differs slightly from that of Dickinson. Twiggy "is leaving due to scheduling conflicts," according to The CW.
"We would like to thank Twiggy for her great contributions to the show," said Mok. "Having an icon like Twiggy lend us her considerable expertise has elevated our show to a whole new level. We wish her well in her endeavors and hope to collaborate with her in future cycles of ANTM as well as other projects."
Porizkova -- who has been modeling since the age of 15 -- has graced the covers of numerous magazines, including Vogue, ELLE, Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and Glamour. She has also appeared in several films, including People I Know and Second Best.
Most recently, Porizkova appeared as a Dancing with the Stars celebrity participant during the Spring 2007 fourth-season of the ABC show, when she was paired with professional Alec Mazo. The two were the first pair eliminated from the competition.
The 42-year-old Czech-born supermodel will join Top Model creator Tyra Banks; runway expert J. "Ms. J." Alexander; and photographer Nigel Barker on Top Model's tenth-season judging panel.
