The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman lovebirds Andy Baldwin and Tessa Horst are apparently trying to buck The Bachelor's recent trend of couples who never walk down the aisle.

"They are planning a wedding," said a friend of the couple in the August 6 issue of In Touch Weekly.

Baldwin, a 30-year-old U.S. Navy Lieutenant and undersea medical officer stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI, proposed to Horst, a 26-year-old San Francisco social worker, during Officer and a Gentleman's final Rose Ceremony at the conclusion of The Bachelor's tenth season in May.

Baldwin's proposal to Horst and her acceptance of it marked the first time in four seasons and only the second in its last seven editions that The Bachelor ended with its bachelor proposing to his final bachelorette.

To ensure their reality television romance was the real thing, Baldwin reportedly proposed to Horst once again on July 7 at his Honolulu home after they both swam in a 1.2 mile race off Oahu's North Shore.

"Andy got down on one knee and gave her a traditional Hawaiian gold ring," an insider told In Touch.  "On the show, Andy gave Tessa a stunning, $50,000 Chopard diamond engagement ring paid for by the network, but it wasn't as meaningful to her as this ring."

Brad Womack, a 34-year-old Austin, TX bar owner, will try to pick-up where Baldwin left-off as the star of The Bachelor's upcoming eleventh installment, which is scheduled to premiere Monday, September 24 at 9:30PM ET/PT on ABC.
