Anna Nicole Smith was no stranger to starring in her own E! reality series prior to her February death, and now the network is reportedly courting her daughter Dannielynn as well as the 1-year-old's father Larry Birkhead.

An E! source told Us the yet-to-be-titled project is "still in the early stages," however the source close to Birkhead claims it will run the emotional gamut from "the very comical to the very sincere."
"He wants people to see how hands-on he is," the source told Us. "From diaper duty to teaching Dannielynn her first words, while he lives under the glare of the media through lawsuits and custody battles."
Birkhead threw a first-birthday bash for Dannielynn in Louisville, KY on September 8 with more than 200 guests in attendance, including Smith's former companion and lawyer Howard K. Stern.
"I wanted to do something that would make her mother proud," said Birkhead in the September 24 issue of In Touch Weekly. "Anna was over-the-top in life. I wanted to do something she'd approve of."
E! cameras captured Smith's over-the-top lifestyle for The Anna Nicole Show, which aired two seasons on the network from Summer 2002 until Spring 2004. However The Anna Nicole Show is reportedly one of the reasons why Birkhead has some reservations about signing on for a series with E!.
"Larry has turned down a lot of offers. [He's] not sure about the show," the source told Us. "He was on a few of Anna's reality shows and saw how that worked, with the long hours... But the production companies are getting more and more aggressive because they think the show will be a hit."
An E! spokesperson could not be reached for comment by Us.
Smith, a former Playboy playmate, died February 8 after collapsing at a South Florida hotel. In late March, the Broward County, FL medical examiner ruled Smith's death as accidental and said it was the result of combined drug toxicity.
