Spencer Pratt's alleged belief that Heidi Montag is having an affair with friend Cougar Zank is reportedly just another publicity stunt orchestrated by The Hills' couple to make some money.

"They've been asking for $100,000. But no one is interested as they don't sell magazines."
Earlier this week, it was reported that Montag had hired a private investigator because she felt Pratt had been seeing another woman since they separated late last month while he thought she was in a romantic relationship with Zank.
While Montag filed for legal separation from Pratt early last week at the Santa Monica Courthouse, multiple sources have stated that their split is a publicity stunt because The Hills is currently in the midst of airing its final season and the couple has no new projects on the horizon.
The Hills co-stars Audrina Patridge and Lauren "Lo" Bosworth and The City star Whitney Port also recently stated they doubt Montag and Pratt's split is for real.
Montag and Pratt's representative did not respond to The Post's request for comment.
