"Style Network has helped viewers find their favorite look and style when it comes to clothing," said Coleman Smith, executive vice president of the cable network. "Now we are taking those invaluable tips and using them to design your living space, helping viewers look and feel as good in their homes as they do in their favorite outfit."

Each Dress My Nest episode will team host Thom Filicia, the former interior design aficionado of Bravo's soon-to-be-cancelled Queer Eye, with a a resident fashion expert.  Working together, they will meet with the episode's participant to see the space they want designed as well as to take a look at their favorite outfit. The two experts then pick apart the outfit to figure out exactly what it says about the homeowner and how it can inspire the decor of a room.

"We are especially pleased to have [Filicia] onboard to lead this charge," said Smith.  "He is -- hands down -- one of the best known and respected personalities in the design field, having helped countless people restyle their homes in Queer Eye."

After a design is conceived, Filicia will present it to the participant to get their initial reaction. The former Queer Eye interior designer will then hits the streets to find the best pieces of furniture and decorative touches --  from rugs and couches to wall hangings and paint -- that best reflect the participant's favorite outfit. Finally, the designers will present the new room to the homeowner, hoping that he/she finds it as comfortable and stylish as that favorite outfit.

"I'm so excited about Dress My Nest," said Filicia. "I love the idea of marrying your style of dress with your interior design aesthetic to create a unique living space with your own personal stamp."

In addition to his television work, Filicia currently owns his own interior design company called Thom Filicia, Inc. that specializes in both residential and commercial projects. He has also been named one of House Beautiful's Top 100 American Designers and one of House & Garden's Top 50 Tastemakers for 2006.
