Susan Boyle is to perform at an open-air mass Pope Benedict XVI is scheduled to say when he visits Glasgow next month.
The "Britain's Got Talent" star is expected to sing her rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream," as well as the traditional religious hymn "How Great Thou Art," the newspaper said.
The Italian news agency ANSA said the Scottish singing phenomenon sang in her Catholic parish choir for decades before being discovered on the British TV talent show last year and becoming a recording star. The ANSA also quoted Boyle as saying she still says the rosary every day.
"Being able to sing for the pope is a great honor, something I've always dreamed of," she told the Telegraph. "I can't express my happiness at this dream come true."
