The Amazing Race cast of 12 new teams and two surprising twists for Season 34 have been unveiled by CBS.

The cast includes Big Brother couple Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss, who began dating in the jury house during their season last summer.
The Amazing Race, which will be celebrating 400 episodes, is doing away with non-elimination legs next season. No team will therefore be afforded a second chance if they arrive at a Pit Stop in last place.
One team will definitely be eliminated at the end of every leg.
And in another first for the show, The Amazing Race's starting line for Season 34 will be outside of the United States.
Racers will gather in Munich, Germany for the start of the Race, and they will also visit the ancient city of Petra in Jordan, where teams will ride a train, perform a Jordanian folk dance, and learn the Arabic alphabet.
Teams will also touch down in Austria, Italy, France, Spain, Iceland, and finally Nashville, TN.
"It will be one of the most grueling races in the show's history and teams will be in for a surprise when host Phil Keoghan teases a game-changing element in the first leg of the Race," teased CBS.
CBS announced back in late May that The Amazing Race and Survivor will both be returning and airing back-to-back on Wednesday nights this Fall.
The Amazing Race's 33rd season debuted in early January and concluded with "Internet Personalities" Kim Holderness and Penn Holderness crossing the finish line in Los Angeles, CA, in first place and winning the $1 million grand prize.
The season took longer than usual to film due to a COVID-19 break, and once filming resumed, several teams dropped out of the running.

Below is the list of 12 teams competing on The Amazing Race's upcoming edition:
- "Engaged Couple" Aastha Lal, a 33-year-old VP of Operations, and Nina Duong, a 34-year-old Director of Business Development. They are from Marina Del Ray, CA.
- "Childhood Sweethearts" Abby Garrett, a 24-year-old data scientist, and Will Freeman, a 25-year-old accountant. They are from Birmingham, AL.
- "Ballroom Dancers" Aubrey Ares, a 29-year-old dance studio owner, and David Hernandez, a 29-year-old helicopter mechanic. They are from Los Angeles, CA.
- "Reality TV Romance" Derek Xiao, a 24-year-old product manager, and Claire Rehfuss, a 25-year-old AI engineer. They are both from Los Angeles, CA, and began dating on Big Brother in 2021.
- "Long-Lost Twins" Emily Bushnell, a 36-year-old law firm admin from Ardmore, PA, and Molly Sinert, a 36-year-old healthcare admin from Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
- "Newlyweds" Glenda, a 41-year-old insurance underwriter, and Lumumba Roberts, a 41-year-old middle school teacher. They are from Norcross, GA.

- "Father and Daughter" Linton, a 50-year-old assistant principal, and Sharik Atkinson, a 23-year-old Masters Student. They are from Brooklyn, NY.
- "Military Brothers" Marcus, a 38-year-old Army tank commander from Richmond Hill, GA, and Michael Craig, a 30-year-old Air Force fighter pilot from Alamogordo, NM.
- "Former Rams Cheerleaders" Quinton Peron, a 29-year-old choreographer from Pasadena, CA, and Mattie Lynch, a 27-year-old dance coach from Vista, CA.
- "Golf Buddies" Tim Mann, a 40-year-old probation officer, and Rex Ryan, a 59-year-old ESPN Analyst. They are from Brentwood, TN.
