When asked whether the emotional journey of The Bachelor will take a toll on Colton, who shed a lot of tears on both The Bachelorette 14 and Bachelor in Paradise 5, Ben admitted to Entertainment Tonight, "I honestly think it will [eat him alive], and I would tell him that -- but not in a bad way."
"I think we'll see him struggle. I mean, I think you've seen all of us struggle through it, but I think Colton really cares," Ben elaborated. (Watch the video below!)
"So I think we'll see his most authentic [self]. This might be the most authentic and genuine and transparent season that we've ever had. Because I just think he's going to feel it."
Ben and Nick confessed the reality dating show had eaten the both of them alive, with Ben adding, "Oh, yeah, it destroyed me."
"I've never been the same," Nick said.
"I never will be the same," Ben disclosed with a laugh.

"It's a very tough process!" Nick explained. "A lot of people talk about, you know, you get questions about what's for TV and what's not, but it's all very real."
While Nick was surprised by ABC's choice to cast Colton as The Bachelor's next star, Ben said he was going to be surprised if Colton wasn't producers' first choice.
"He may not be the most-liked choice, but I think people are intrigued by him," Ben told ET.
"I think, kind of to Ben's point, I get why they picked him. It will be interesting. Colton, by his own admission, has mentioned he's had a very limited dating life," Nick said.

"I'll be interested to see how that plays out. And I'm not specifically talking about his virginity or anything like that, but just, dating in general. And he'll have to be decisive."
Ben starred on The Bachelor's 20th season, while Nick looked for love on The Bachelor's 21st season. While both men got engaged on their respective seasons, their relationships didn't work out and Ben and Nick are both currently single.
