The Bachelor star Zach Shallcross made a rule for himself not to have sex with any of his Final 3 bachelorettes in the Fantasy Suites, but it appears he didn't follow through -- and the choice had consequences.

Based on a preview of Zach's overnight dates, Zach established a no-sex rule for himself in order to be fair to the women and hopefully avoid nasty breakups.
"From what I can say is -- a lot of things do change and going into that week, I thought I could basically set up, like, a guideline for myself and a guideline for others to try to make it less messy and it bit us in the ass," Zach, 26, admitted to Us Weekly at The Women Tell All, which taped in late February and airs Tuesday, March 14 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
The Bachelor host Jesse Palmer shared how Zach's approach to Fantasy Suites wasn't exactly realistic.
"Zach puts some parameters around Fantasy Suites that he thinks is going to help him make his decision at the end of the day," Jesse shared with the magazine.
"So Zach decides that he is not going to sleep with any of the three women, that he's going focus on other means and ways of progressing his relationships, but things don't exactly go that way."
Jesse noted that "sometimes you can't put boundaries" on relationships in The Bachelor franchise because they need to "progress" naturally and "however they unfold."
"When Zach told me he wasn't going have sex with any of the women, I was sort of like, 'You're going be able to do this? You're going to be tempted, you know, the Fantasy Suites are there for a reason,'" Jesse recalled.
Jesse also pointed out how "sexual compatibility is a really big thing" in a romance, "especially if you're going to be getting down on a knee and asking someone to marry you."

When elaborating on why Zach's initial plan to abstain from sex during overnight dates would be problematic, Jesse said, "What if the women want to have sex with you?"

"You're kind of taking it off the table," Jesse explained. "That was probably the most shocking [moment] because in all honesty, part of me kind of knew how it was going to end."
Jesse teased of what's to come on The Bachelor season, "Zach, we know is extremely thoughtful. He has a very heavy conscience. So he's going to have to navigate a lot in these final few weeks, and he hopefully won't ruin it for himself."
However, Jesse confirmed that Zach is "extremely happy" right now, suggesting that his The Bachelor journey ended successfully and on a high note.
"I think Bachelor Nation is going to be absolutely thrilled at the outcome. I don't want to speak on behalf of Zach. It was a very difficult journey to get to this point. Everybody up to this point has seen that," Jesse said.
While Zach recently said in the media that Hometown Week was the most "stressful" and "hardest" part of The Bachelor process for him, Jesse argued, "The hardest part is yet to come in Thailand."
"And it's all going to end up the way it's supposed to," Jesse revealed. "Zach tells me that he wouldn't change anything about it, and he's thrilled. So if he's happy, I'm happy."
In a preview for Fantasy Suites that aired at the end of The Bachelor's March 13 broadcast, Zach says, "I think to a lot of people, this week is viewed as 'Sex Week.'"
"What feels right to me is not having sex," Zach adds.

But then Ariel says, "Zach is looking delicious today," and Gabi and Zach are shown kissing in bed.
Kaity -- who already enjoyed an overnight date with Zach early in the season -- also kisses Zach and boasts, "It feels so right with him."
Jesse teases that what happens on the overnight dates "will change everything," and Zach reveals, "Something really special happened. I feel like I let myself down, and I feel like I let the women down."
Zach goes on to reveal, seemingly to Gabi, "I have been intimate this week."
Gabi then cries, "I feel so stupid. I feel disgusting. I feel ugly. Heartbreak doesn't feel good, but this doesn't feel good either!"
After Zach appears to apologize to Ariel, Gabi proceeds to tell the cameras, "I don't even feel like I can go back there."
An unidentified woman could then be heard saying she's "confused" and "really [wants] to go home."
And Zach laments to Jesse, "I really f-cked it up. It was a beautiful moment. It feels robbed."
During a recent appearance on the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast, Zach teased that Fantasy Suite Week is "juicy."
"It does not necessarily go the way, I think, we all thought it would," Zach confirmed, before admitting, "That's the one [episode] I'm nervous about. Mom, don't watch."
Clayton Echard's experience in the Fantasy Suites didn't go as planned either on The Bachelor's 26th season last year. Clayton ended up sleeping with both Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia, although he was the "most" in love with Susie Evans, who quit the show once she found out about his lust for the other women.
Clayton and Susie reconciled in the real world once filming ended, but they announced their breakup in September 2022.
