Brett Melnick, a 29-year-old hairstylist from Westminster, PA, and Bradley Wisk, a 32-year-old opera singer from Holland, MI, were both eliminated during the third episode's Rose Ceremony.

"I came here with an open mind, open heart. But I did struggle at first. I was shy and nervous, and you know, maybe if I opened up a little more, I maybe would have had a better chance of getting a rose tonight," Brett said following his ouster.

"I put myself out there. I showed who I was. I was vulnerable and it wasn't good enough. I love to be loved and I love to love. So, I just really want it, you know? Just to go home and be by myself, I just -- ugh, man. I'm sad, you know?" Bradley said in tears after he was eliminated.

In addition, Ron Worrell, a 28-year-old beverage sales manager from Memphis, TN, took himself out of the competition and left the show after learning a "close friend" of his had passed away.

The Bachelorette's third tenth-season episode featured three dates: two one-on-one dates and one group date in Santa Barbara, CA. Out of the 16 men remaining, Nick V., a 33-year-old software sales executive from Chicago, IL, got the first one-on-one date.

Nick was realistic about the situation and a bit skeptical, thinking the chances of things working on between him and Andi were slim to none. However, he planned to maintain an open mind. On their date, the couple went on a long bike ride and a hike. Andi loved how chill the date was. Nick thought Andi was really cool, and although he wasn't desperate to find love, he still really wanted to find it.

Meanwhile, Andrew, a 30-year-old social media marketer from Culver City, CA, was talking to the guys about how Nick didn't really believe in The Bachelor process.

Back on the one-on-one date, Nick began viewing Andi as a "beautiful, impressive person." He told her that it was going to be tough for him not to know where he stands in a relationship and therefore this competition. Andi advised him to just say how he felt, and then Nick admitted he had a crush on her like a 12-year-old boy. He thought there was definitely something between them and Andi believed Nick was sweet, vulnerable, sincere, and honest.

The couple then enjoyed dinner at a courthouse. Andi needed to dive into the conversation to determine whether she had more than an initial attraction to Nick.

Nick then explained he had been in a serious seven-year relationship, and after they broke up, he proposed to another girl at age 27. Nick explained their engagement lasted "for a minute," and he said he had an ego at that point and it was just an immature relationship. Andi liked knowing the reason why Nick was so cautious in the process.

Meanwhile, the 15 other guys learned who would be accompanying Andi on the week's group date.

The suitors were as follows: Brett; Bradley; Andrew; Tasos, a 30-year-old wedding event coordinator from Denver, CO; Cody, a 28-year-old personal trainer from Chicago, IL; Josh Murray, a 29-year-old former professional baseball player from Atlanta, GA; Marcus Grodd, a 25-year-old sports medicine manager from Dallas, TX; Marquel Martin, a 26-year-old sponsorship salesman from Las Vegas, NV; Patrick, a 29-year-old advertising executive from Newport Beach, CA; Brian, a 27-year-old basketball coach from Camp Hill, PA; and Eric, a 31-year-old explorer from Citrus Heights, CA.

On Andi's date, she felt she had a lot in common with Nick, like in a philosophical sense, because they understood each other's perspective on things and wanted the same things out of life. Andi liked how Nick knew who he is and what he wants. She felt a connection with him and therefore decided to give him the date's rose.

"These two crazy kids might have a shot," Nick said in a confessional, adding that their chemistry was surprising but so easy.

Nick believed there was potential for something very special to happen with Andi, and the Bachelorette was glad he had opened up to her. She hoped to turn the skeptic into a believer, and then the couple kissed. He thought their kiss was amazing, while she said she felt a "spark" and "tingle.

The next day, the 11 selected guys embarked on their group date with Andi. Once at the Music Academy of the West, Andi led the guys to believe they were going to be singing classical music. However, they met Boyz II Men and were so excited. Eric joked that he had touched his first butt to the famous song "I'll Make Love to You" in seventh grade.

The guys rehearsed with Boyz II Men and then performed in front of a live audience at Pasos Nuevo. Bradley, being an opera singer, felt he was in his element and he could shine. Tasos gave him a good fight, but the rest of the guys sang pretty terribly or forgot the words to the song entirely. Eric noted Marcus' voice sounded like "a chicken being strangled."

That night, Andi pulled Cody aside to chat. She decided to pull a little prank on him, telling him that guys in the house had talked about him having a girlfriend back home. Cody got upset and defensive, saying he's been single for three-and-a-half years. Andi then revealed it was a joke, and Cody thought it was a good sign Andi had planned that out ahead of time just for him.

Eric sat down with Andi next. After explaining in a confessional he was worried his connection with Andi might be fading since they shared the first date of the season, Andi assured him she had a great time and Eric got the confirmation he needed. The guys were all developing genuine feelings for Andi.

Meanwhile, JJ, a 30-year-old entrepreneur from San Francisco, CA, learned he'd be accompanying Andi on the next one-on-one date.

Back on the group date, Andi told Marcus that he kind of drifted in the background on group dates yet she still noticed him. Marcus then went in for their first kiss, and he thought it was amazing and special. He was ready to really start exploring what was behind that physical chemistry.

Andi then had some alone time with Josh and their chemistry was evident. They kissed over and over again, and she seemed smitten with him. Andi then gave the group date's rose to Josh. He was excited to know his feelings were being reciprocated.

The following day, Andi and JJ headed off on their date. Head to toe, the couple was transformed into elderly people. After cracking up about their new looks, they walked around the park to try to fool people. They had people take pictures of them, and although it was a goofy date, Andi said it made her think what it would be like to grow old with someone. She felt it was a brief glimpse into her future. JJ noted to the cameras Andi's looks were not the most attractive thing about her.

Meanwhile, Ron got a phone call and immediately started packing his belongings. He told the guys a close friend had died, and the mansion was not his place at that time. The guys offered Ron their sympathies and were sad to see him go.

During Andi's date, she and JJ snagged a quick kiss on the carousel. Afterward, they enjoyed dinner dressed as themselves -- a young couple. JJ just felt comfortable with Andi, and she loved his quirky nature and uniqueness. She accepted him for who he is. Andi opted to give JJ the date's rose, and JJ told the cameras he wanted the date to last until his wrinkles were real.

At the mansion, Dylan shared a personal, emotional story with Chris. Dylan explained how his sister had passed away from drug abuse and then his brother got hooked on drugs following the aftermath of his sister's death. Later on, Dylan's brother was hospitalized and declared brain dead. Dylan was nervous to tell Andi his story but intended to share it once they could share a decent amount of alone time.

Once at the cocktail party, Andi was speaking to Eric in private only to get interrupted by the delivery of a giant bouquet of flowers. They were from Nick and featured a long note, which made Andi smile with guilt in front of Eric. Andi thanked Nick for the flowers, and in return, he thanked her for an amazing first date. Andi said something so normal in the dating world, like the gesture of being given flowers, felt like an extravagant change.

Drama then began. JJ and Josh discussed how Andrew had asked for a waitress' number when a group of the guys went out to dinner. JJ told Josh he had witnessed it firsthand, and Andrew had bragged about getting the number to everyone -- a move Josh found very disrespectful.

Without passing judgement, JJ and Josh confronted Andrew about the incident and he refused to talk about it. He walked away, went into his room and closed the door behind him without a word. The guys mocked what kind of man he proved himself to be, and JJ was shocked Andrew wouldn't even have an open conversation about it.

Meanwhile, Marcus told Andi he believed in love at first sight and felt that with her. He called her the "most unique girl" he's ever met, and then he kissed her. Marcus gave her a note to read at a later date, and he subsequently said in a confessional he was definitely "moving in the direction of love" with her.

Andrew then opened up to cameras about his position. He believed the guys were attacking him because they felt threatened by him. He finally approached the pack head-on and explained the waitress had just handed him the phone number on the second or third night of the process. Andrew insisted many of the guys were there with him to see it happen, but JJ argued that was not the case and no one knew about the incident until he bragged about it to everyone.

Nick V. noted that Andrew ran into people's rooms to share the news about the phone number, and Marcus declared that Andrew was not a genuine guy. Andrew realized right then and there it was a "straight up competition" and they weren't friends. He didn't want to throw punches and start a fight, so he chose not to attack the "three lowlifes" -- seemingly referring to Nick, Josh and JJ.

It then became time for the season's third Rose Ceremony. Besides Nick, JJ and Josh, Andi handed out roses to Marcus, Brian, Marquel, Tasos, Cody, Patrick, Chris, Eric, Dylan, and finally Andrew.
