The Real Housewives of New York City star Ramona Singer has reportedly filed for divorce from Mario Singer, her husband of 27 years.

"This is a personal and private matter for our family," Ramona told People earlier this week in a statement. "For my daughter Avery's sake, I would appreciate everyone respecting our privacy during this difficult time."
Back in October, The New York Post reported Mario had been dating a young, blonde socialite -- recently identified as Kasey Dexter -- since Summer 2013, knocked her up and paid for her to have an abortion. The newspaper also reported on Monday that Ramona caught Mario with Dexter, 27, at their shared Southampton home this past weekend.
Ramona "threw a fit and called the cops," a source told the newspaper.
The couple has reportedly been trying to keep up appearances recently despite all the drama in their relationship.
"Ramona has been protecting him. She looked the other way when people told her he was cheating," former Housewife Jill Zarin told People.
However, conflicting reports have surfaced that Ramona has also been dating other guys. The Post claims she was spotted on a date with a "20-something-looking guy" late last week. However, a People insider insists Ramona "was out with this guy last week but not like a date. Just out at a bar. It was just people hanging out -- nothing happened."
The Real Housewives of New York City will return to Bravo with its sixth-season premiere March 11 at 9PM ET/PT.
