The Voice coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton's relationship may have taken a turn from bromance to brotherly rivalry.

After Levine teased Shelton about being stupid on Twitter, Shelton actually tweeted out the Maroon 5 frontman's personal phone number, reaching more than six million followers, during Monday night's broadcast of The Voice's Top 10 performance show.

"It was his number," The Voice host Carson Daly confirmed to the Today show. "I knew it was real because Adam told me it was real, but I didn't know if they were going to go through with it or how it would play out."

Daly said he text messages Levine "quite a bit" and when he dialed the number Shelton had released last night, the number "is now discontinued."

Before The Voice episode began airing, Levine tweeted without context, "I'm seriously amazed at @blakeshelton's stupidity."

In reply, Shelton began his little rant on Twitter.

"@adamlevine... I just found the craziest thing in my phone!!! Your PERSONAL cell phone number... hope I'm not stupid enough to tweet it out," wrote Shelton.

"Ya'll! @adamlevine doesn't think I will actually tweet out his personal cell number... he's flirting with danger..."

Levine called Shelton's threats "cute," which Shelton seemed to take as a dare. Shelton then surprised everyone by really following through with his playful stint.

"HEY EVERYONE!!! Here it is: (310) 493-7939 <-- @adamlevine's CELL NUMBER! Think I'm kidding? Try calling it!! Bitch!!!" the country star tweeted.

Levine quickly realized Shelton wasn't joking around and he wasn't happy.

"Are you kidding me?! That's not funny," Levine told Shelton during last night's The Voice broadcast.

Fellow The Voice coaches Shakira and Usher weighed-in on Levine and Shelton's entertaining dynamic.

"Those two, they have issues they've got to solve," Shakira told Today. "They've got to work out those issues among themselves. But Blake should expect some kind of revenge from Adam, I can assure you that."

Shakira added that if Shelton ever tweeted out her personal phone number, she "would hang him. He's heavy, but I would find a way."

"There's a really cool, playful banter that goes on between us as coaches," Usher explained, "because we're real -- we really do care about one another and though this is a competition and everybody obviously wants to win, we're enjoying it while we're doing it."

Two artists, no matter which team they are on, will be eliminated during The Voice's live results show Tuesday night on NBC.
