"I don't think" it will be the end of the Lifetime reality series, said Spelling.
"For me, you know, it's True Tori. I have a lot more to tell. I have four children, I'm a mom, I'm a woman, and I want to go on," she told Us.
Spelling has set the record straight on rumors of McDermott's departure after the Chopped Canada host had previously mentioned he wasn't interested in coming back to the show.
After nearly two seasons of raw, on-camera therapy and sharing his hardships with viewers, McDermott -- who cheated on Spelling in December 2013 and has felt the implications ever since -- hit an all-time low and suggested earlier this month he wanted nothing to do with True Tori anymore.
"I can't do this anymore," he reportedly said, admitting to prior suicidal thoughts. "I can't keep opening a vein, opening my soul and sharing my feelings and thoughts and demons with the world. I don't watch it. I can't. It's really difficult. I can't do it anymore, for my soul."
After Spelling discovered McDermott had been unfaithful while away on a business trip, he checked himself into rehab to fight his history of depression and substance abuse issues.
Spelling justified her reasons for continuing to star on True Tori without her husband of over eight years during an interview on The Meredith Vieira Show.
"We let it all hang out. I don't [think I reveal too much] because if everything hadn't been made as public as it was, I would've chosen to deal with this privately with my husband. I chose to deal with [the affair] because it was my journey, it was my truth," Spelling told Meredith Vieira, according to Us.
"Women everywhere go through this and I wanted to put it out there... It's completely cathartic for me and it's very individual. I know everyone has an opinion about me putting my life and relationship out there, and it's something... I needed that. I felt like I didn't have a voice for so long."
