Run's House was a reality television series aired on MTV which portrayed the family life of former Run"D.M.C. rapper and hip-hop music pioneer Joseph Simmons (also known as Rev Run). Its theme song and show name are from the Run-D.M.C. album Tougher Than Leather. The show was produced by Good Clean Fun. Executive producers included Sean "Diddy" Combs, Russell Simmons (Joseph Simmons' brother), and Stan Lathan. Filming locations were at the Simmons family home in Saddle River, New Jersey, the Simmons offices in Manhattan, New York, and the apartment shared by Vanessa and Angela Simmons (Joseph Simmons' daughters) in Los Angeles, California.

He is known as DJ Run, Joey Simmons or Rev Run, which is a play on his religious title. Born in Hollis, Queens, New York, he is the youngest brother of Daniel Simmons, Jr and Russell Simmons, Def Jam Records co-founder. He entered the hip hop scene as a DJ for Kurtis Blow. He assumed the alias 'Son of Kurtis Blow', but later changed it to 'Rev Run'.

Justine Simmons

Justine is the wife of Joseph Simmons and mother of their three children, as well as stepmother to Joseph Simmons' three children from a previous marriage. She recently launched a jewelry line called "Brown Sugar" that was featured on HSN.

Vanessa Simmons

Vanessa (born August 5, 1983) is an aspiring actress, and (alongside her sister, Angela Simmons) a designer for the shoe brand Pastry. Vanessa appeared briefly on the soap opera television show Guiding Light and held a role in the film Speed Dating (starring Wesley Jonathan). She is set to appear in the upcoming feature film, Boogie Town (starring Marques Houston, Brenda Song, Katerina Graham and Joseph C. Phillips) and the ensemble film, Dysfunctional Friends, with Meagan Good, Tatyana Ali, Wesley Jonathan, Jason Weaver, and TLR.

Angela Simmons

Angela was born September 18, 1987. With sister Vanessa, she designs and runs the shoe brand Pastry. She is the editor for Angela's Rundown, a monthly magazine targeted for youths (ages 14 " 19) which covers teen topics, style, music, and fashion. The magazine also features fashion tips and in-depth celebrity "ugly duckling" interviews. Angela was featured in Bow Wow's music video for his single, Shortie Like Mine. On March 23, 2007, she launched Pastry Footwear with Vanessa, under their family's line of footwear, Run Athletics. The first product line released is the "Cake Collection", inspired by their favorite pastries.

Joseph "JoJo" Ward Simmons, Jr.

Joseph, Jr. (born September 29, 1989) is the first son and third oldest child. He is a member of rap group Team Blackout (signed to Latchkey Records), who shot a music video for their single "J5". JoJo first went to St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, NY with fellow group members of team blackout (Reggie and Zack). After attending Ramsey High School for a little over one year, he graduated from Northern Highlands Regional High School in 2007. As a graduation present, his father gave him a black BMW car with his name embroidered onto the seats. On May 8, 2009, Joseph Jr. was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and resisting arrest.

Daniel Dwayne "Diggy" Simmons III

The line was originally titled "Space Age", then changed to "Space Cadet"; however, Diggy has stated (via his blog) that the line is going to be called "something that means so much more." On December 28, 2009, Diggy stated (via, "Chivalrous Culture is my brand releasing spring 2011 for the people that asked is it mine." Diggy released his first, The First Flight at midnight on December 2, 2009. His second mixtape, Airborne was released on September 10, 2010. Diggy was signed to Atlantic Records on March 21, 2010 (on his fifteenth birthday). , he had appeared on singles by teen R&B singers Jacob Latimore and Dionne Bromfield, and rapped on Mindless Behavior's single "Mrs. Right". The title of his debut album is Unexpected Arrival. He also has a new mixtape on the way which is called Out of this World.

Russell "Russy" Simmons II

Russell Simmons II (Born August 30, 1997 New York,saddle river) is the youngest son. His nickname is Russy, and is named after his father's older brother, Russell Simmons. His younger sister Victoria Anne died at birth, leaving the family devastated. His father, Joseph is the co-founder of the hip-hop group Run-DMC. He is also a reverend at Zoe Ministries where he met his second wife, and mother of Russy, Justine.

In MTV's reality series Run's House, Russy Simmons played himself along with his family. He is the youngest among all children, not including his adopted younger sister Miley Justine Simmons. The series ended in 2009 and he has since pursued his studies.

Victoria Anne Simmons

Victoria (born September 26, 2006 - September 26, 2006) was four pounds, five ounces when she was delivered via caesarean section. She died shortly after being born reportedly due to omphalocele, a birth defect that caused her organs to grow outside her body. The Simmons family decided to allow camera crews to be in the hospital room as they broke the news to their children. They wanted to show viewers how, as a family, they dealt with the tragedy.

Miley Justine Simmons

Shortly after the death of Victoria Anne Simmons the family started beirting proceedings and in September 2007 their dream came true. A month later they were introduced to their daughter and as the youngest member Miley Justine completes the Simmons family.
