'American Idol 6's second night delivers more record-breaking ratings

Last night's broadcast of Fox's American Idol 6 auditions from Seattle, WA saw some of the worst contestants ever to try out for the reality competition, but it still delivered the smash-hit reality show's highest rated Wednesday premiere numbers ever among total viewers and the Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 demographics.

A NFL playoff game and the long-anticipated return of Fox's 24 proved to be a toxic combination for NBC's Grease: You're the One That I Want and The Apprentice: Los Angeles this past Sunday night, as both shows saw their second week ratings slip significantly from their previous week's premiere numbers.
