Special Wednesday 'Survivor' broadcast wins time period ratings, tops 'American Idol' in common half-hour

A special Wednesday broadcast of "Survivor: The Amazon" on March 26th won its time period (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) in viewers, households, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and topped "America Idol" in viewers, households and adults 25-54 in the common half hour (8:30-9:00 PM) in which the two series went head-to-head, according to final Nielsen ratings.ABC's 'All American Girl' premiere bombs in ratings

Variety reports that "All American Girl" was an all-American disappointment for ABC, debuting to season lows in its special two-hour time slot Wednesday night. The premiere of "All American Girl" posted a 3.0 rating and 8 share among adults 18-49, far below what time-slot predecessors "The Bachelorette," "Celebrity Mole" and even "I'm a Celebrity ... CBS has announced that for the week ending March 9th, it swept all programming categories -- reality, drama, new magazines and comedy -- in winning the week in viewers, households and adults 35-54. Variety reports that viewers weren't exactly ecstatic for the "Married By America" series opener. The two-hour premiere netted a third-place 4.1 rating/10 share in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic.
