Joshua and John Duggar's quick thinking has helped save a little girl's life.

The 19 Kids and Counting siblings performed CPR and helped revive a 6-year-old girl who had her airway obstructed when the vehicle she was a passenger in was involved in an accident outside of the Duggar family's car dealership last Thursday, Arkansas' KHBS-TV ABC affiliate reported.
"In thought, 'Oh no big deal. Fender bender. It happens quite often here actually,'" Joshua told KHBS-TV.
"But then I realized there was a little girl, she was unconscious. She was not breathing."
Joshua, 21, and John, 20, called 911 and rushed 6-year-old Maddye Plascensia into the Springdale, AR dealership's office, where they immediately conducted CPR before paramedics arrived.

"They realized there was something blocking her airway," Joshua explained to KHBS-TV. "She had been eating chicken nuggets when the accident happened and it caused a blockage in the airway."
The vehicle Plascensia was in during the three-car accident was driven by her grandmother Glannetta Plascensia, according to KHBS-TV, which added the little girl was not wearing a seatbelt and was apparently struck by an airbag that deployed in the crash.
"This girl, just a few moments earlier, was just an ordinary little girl, and just a split second later she's unconscious and not breathing," John told NBC's Today during a Wednesday interview.
Plascensia was subsequently stabilized and airlifted to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock -- the same hospital where Joshua and John's youngest sister was born prematurely in December and remains in neonatal care.
Plascensia remained hospitalized earlier this week, however she is also recovering from the accident.

"He is the hero here," Plascensia's uncle Philip Pepe told KHBS-TV about Joshua. "He deserves a lot of credit for what he did and I thank him from the bottom of my heart."
However Joshua -- the oldest Duggar sibling who began his own family recently -- was modest in accepting credit for what happened.
"The Springdale paramedics did a phenomenal job," he told KHBS-TV. "I was a piece in the puzzle, and a very small piece at that. I'm just really grateful to be a part of it."
While John filmed paramedics attending to Plascensia with his cell phone, it is unknown if footage from the incident will appear on a future 19 Kids and Counting episode, Today reported.
