"She loves to eat," Michelle Duggar told People smiling. "When she feels good, she looks at you and smiles and talks. She's definitely a talker and has the sweetest personality."
Despite the weight gain, doctors are still trying to learn why Josie is suffering from several digestive issues that require her to receive enemas at six-hour intervals.
"We are identifying what needs to be done to find a more permanent solution," physician, Dr. Robert Arrington told People.
Josie was delivered via emergency C-section at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and weighed 1 lb., 6 ounces when she was born in December.
While Michelle was not due until early March, she was taken to the hospital to have a gallstone removed. The pain from the gallstone caused Michelle to have early contractions, leading to the early arrival of her nineteenth child.
Josie was released in mid-April but was immediately taken back to Little Rock's Arkansas Children's Hospital after her vital signs began to drop unexpectedly.
TLC will document Josie's brief journey home on 19 Kids and Counting: Josie Comes Home, a Mother's Day special that will air Sunday, May 9 at 8PM ET/PT.
"This has been such a difficult time for our family," Jim Bob Duggar told People.
"But good things have come out of this experience for us. We've drawn close together and we thank God for every day Josie is here."
