After nearly two years of battling Jihoon and trying to end their marriage, a fan asked Deavan why she ever left Jihoon to begin with.
"If you want me to be 100 percent honest, I don't think there was a romantic connection to begin with," Deavan claimed.
"We both felt this way and had talked about it several times. We did everything for the show because he had debts and I had medical bills to pay."
Deavan and Jihoon were shown working on their marriage on the first two seasons of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, which aired from 2019-2020. The Season 2 finale that aired in 2020 featured the pair enjoying a traditional wedding in South Korea.
"When I moved there, we never slept in the same bed," Deavan claimed, adding that she and Jihoon often had to "fake" their feelings for each other.
Deavan claimed "disgusting things" happened off-camera between Jihoon, herself and her children -- Jihoon's son Taeyang, 3, and Drascilla, 5, whom Deavan welcomed during a previous relationship.
Deavan said Jihoon had done "the most vile thing possible" to make her want to leave South Korea.
"Once he became abusive, I made him stay at his parents. I had planned to return home in March then COVID hit and my flight was canceled," Deavan wrote on Instagram Stories.
"We both had ended the relationship in November [2019] but decided to finish the season. We both knew we had to continue filming."
Viewers watched the couple's marriage crumble when they were forced to quarantine together in their small Korean apartment with Deavan's two kids.

Deavan claimed Jihoon just played video games in his room all day and wasn't helping out with the kids.
Deavan revealed in August 2020 she had moved back to the United States after trying to move to South Korea for the second time, and Jihoon then confirmed their split at that time after one year of marriage.
Deavan then filed for divorce from Jihoon in September 2020.
When asked to recall when exactly her relationship with Jihoon fell apart, Deavan said the "Tea House."
"It was done and over at that point. I was going to fly home with my mother, but we decided to at least film the wedding that was a month later," Deavan explained.
"During that time, I found out about the pregnancy. We decided to try and make it work. When I had the miscarriage [in October 2019], that's when him and I both knew it would never work. We flew back to America to film interviews. During that time, we broke up for good."
Deavan said since the 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way season hadn't finished filming yet, she and Jihoon decided to finish it.

Looking back on the 90 Day Fiance footage, Deavan shared, "I thought it was pretty obvious to viewers we didn't like each other. I've looked back and watched the show with clear eyes now. I wish I saw the signs before it got out of hand."

Around the time Deavan filed for divorce from Jihoon in Fall 2020, she and Jihoon engaged in nasty he-said, she-said arguments on social media.
Deavan even alleged Jihoon had abused Drascilla, a claim which Jihoon firmly denied.
Deavan told her followers that during the alleged abuse, Jihoon "stayed at his parents' [place]."
"We were never alone," Deavan said of her now ex-husband. "When he did come by, his cousin came with him to supervise as his family had witnessed and were aware of the situation."
When Deavan revealed a judge has finalized her divorce from Jihoon, she claimed Jihoon has not reached out or attempted to contact his son for almost two years.
Deavan clarified how Jihoon "hasn't spoken to [Taeyang] since he was 13 months old" and Taeyang is now three years old.
Deavan insisted Jihoon's alleged lack of responsiveness and care for Taeyang is why a judge awarded her full custody of Taeyang during the divorce, and she added, "Now it is permanent."
When asked why Jihoon -- who allegedly never paid child support, according to Deavan -- suddenly seemed to stop caring, Deavan replied, "I don't know. In my personal opinion, it was all for the show."

Deavan is currently pregnant with her third child. The former reality TV star revealed earlier this month she is expecting a baby with boyfriend Christopher "Topher" Park who is due in Fall 2022.

Deavan suggested in her Q&A that she's thinking about having Topher adopt both Taeyang and Drascilla, whom she welcomed with a boyfriend prior to meeting Jihoon.
"He would very much love that... Blood doesn't make a father a father," Deavan shared on Instagram Stories.
She elaborated, "Topher has been in Taeyang's life for two years. Taeyang calls Topher dad and cries for him more than me. I think Taeyang only knows him. Unfortunately, that is what my ex decided. He had his rights and didn't take them."
Deavan is pregnant with a rainbow baby one year after she had another miscarriage in April 2021 with Topher's child.
Deavan insisted in 2020 she was completely done filming with the 90 Day Fiance franchise after multiple bad experiences. Deavan said she was asked to fake scenes with Jihoon, and she also accused the editing team of making Drascilla look out of control.
Deavan also made the bold claim that 90 Day Fiance's production company had driven cast members to consider suicide.
