90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days featured Gino being accused of sending his ex naked pictures of Jasmine, Mahogany standing up Ben in Peru, Kim Menzies pressuring Usman "SojaBoy" Umar to be intimate, Mike planning to propose marriage to Ximena, and Ella considering meeting Johnny in Dubai during the fifth-season episode Sunday night on TLC.

90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days' new season stars Usman, a 32-year-old from Sokoto, Nigeria, and Kim, a 50-year-old from San Diego, CA; Caleb, a 28-year-old from Chandler, AZ, and Alina, a 27-year-old from Saint Petersburg, Russia; and Gino, a 51-year-old from Canton, MI, and Jasmine, a 34-year-old from Panama City, Panama.

The series also stars Memphis, a 34-year-old from Muskegon, MI, and Hamza, a 28-year-old from Kairouan, Tunisia; Mike, a 34-year-old from Thiells, NY, and Ximena, a 24-year-old from Pereira, Colombia; Ella, a 29-year-old from Idaho Falls, ID, and Johnny, a 34-year-old from Jinan, China; Ben, a 52-year-old from Fraser, MI, and Mahogany, a 24-year-old from San Bartolo, Peru.

Usman was previously married to Lisa Hamme, 54, whom he had met on Facebook two years before filming 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days' fourth season.

Lisa struggled to trust Usman during their relationship and they split in May 2020. Usman later served Lisa with divorce papers in December 2020 and Lisa has since remarried with a childhood friend.

90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days will follow long-distance relationships and document how each couple found each other as well as their first in-person meeting in a foreign country "and the countless surprises, drama and culture clashes along the way."

In most 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days cases, lovebirds are hoping to get engaged and begin the K-1 Visa process.

After traveling across the world, the couples will determine if love can conquer all as they experience challenges such as language barriers, interfering families, cultural differences, age gaps, ex partners, and "shady pasts," according to TLC.

Below is what happened on the eighth episode of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days' fifth season:

USMAN and KIM

After sleeping in the same bed, Kim and Usman woke up next to each other. Kim said she and Usman only slept and didn't even kiss; however, she said he had touched some of her body parts under the sheets and she was feeling "a dewy glow."

Usman said in his culture and region, he's not allowed to sleep in the same room or hold a woman's hand without an engagement ring.

But a producer asked Usman, "Weren't you intimate with your ex-wife [Kim] the first night you met?"

"So the reason why me and my ex-wife were intimate so quickly was because [I] already proposed before she arrived, and so, like, we were in it already," Usman explained.

"Kimberly and I, we are not in... a relationship. That's what we are still working on."

Kim said while she and Usman had taken the next step in their relationship, she wanted their sexual relationship to start that night. Kim said she wanted "the kissing and the sex" with her love interest.

Usman planned to return to her hotel room that evening, and his management team was apparently surprised about Usman's decisions. They didn't appreciate how Usman was going against his own wishes just to please Kim.

Usman refused to say he was dating Kim or in a relationship with her because he wanted to protect himself and make sure he was making the right choice for himself.

Usman wanted to get to know Kim and get close to her before making a final decision about their romance.

That evening, Usman returned to Kim's hotel room and she had decorated the bed with rose petals and offered him a glass of champagne. She also answered the door in her bathrobe and a sexy pink nightgown.

Despite Kim's advances, Usman announced that he still didn't want to have sex with her. Usman promised they would have sex upon deciding to be boyfriend and girlfriend, but Kim lashed out, saying the situation was crazy.

"Just admit you don't want me!" Kim said, on the verge of tears.

"If I didn't want you, I wouldn't invite you," Usman replied.

Usman was turned off and angry about Kim's aggressive approach to their intimate relationship. He wanted to wait until the time was right, and he didn't appreciate Kim pushing him for sex.

"If this is what she wants and this is how she's going to be, maybe moving into her room was a mistake," Usman admitted. "And maybe this relationship is not going to work out at all."

Kim asked Usman not to leave, but he packed his suitcase and headed out.

Kim chased after Usman and apologized for her behavior, and then Usman returned to her hotel room for the night.

Kim just needed some validation and reassurance that Usman liked her. Kim admitted that she was in love with Usman, who said in reply that he loved her in his own way.

"I can't do this no more," Kim said, feeling rejected.

Kim confessed that she was afraid to think about a future without Usman, and she thought her son Jamal would flip out on Usman for not treating her well.

Usman said Jamal would have to respect him, and if he didn't, he wouldn't owe Jamal respect or anything else. Kim accused him of being disrespectful and said Usman's words about her son made her begin to question everything.

BEN and MAHOGANY

Ben said Mahogany had stopped texting him after she said her father didn't want Ben to visit her and see her. Despite the bad news, Ben decided to stay positive and optimistic -- and so he traveled to Peru anyways.

"I'm dying inside... I'm about to hyperventilate!" Ben said.

Ben bragged about having memorized the following sentence in Spanish to say at their first in-person meeting: "I am happy and excited I see my beautiful princess."

Ben and Mahogany had agreed to meet outside of the airport by the taxis, and so he went to their original meeting point and hoped to see her there.

After about a half hour of waiting, Ben started to cry and seemed anxious and overwhelmed. Mahogany wasn't responding to his text messages, and she was nowhere to be found.

"I just thought that she was going to come, and I guess not. It just sucks," Ben cried. "I've come a long way and I sacrificed a lot, and I don't think it's a lot to ask to just show up. I feel stupid and foolish. I don't know what else to do."

Ben said he felt "numb" and "incredibly sad," and so he was really hurting about having been stood up. He then headed to his hotel, where he would pray and try to "get over the sting of this."

Ben couldn't see Mahogany giving up on their love and their future together -- including having children -- just because her father had allegedly been questioning his intentions.

Ben acknowledged there was "a three percent chance" Mahogany is not who she said she is. Ben felt totally lost and decided to go to bed and pretend like that day never even happened.

MIKE and XIMENA

Mike and Ximena were headed back to Ximena's home after a rocky few days at what was supposed to be their romantic getaway. Mike was surprised to learn Ximena had issues with his personal hygiene and organization.

"Ximena is faulting me with things that aren't that bad per se, but at the same time, she's a very organized person and she's a very clean person. So I also take that into account, but I also think she just overreacted," Mike told the cameras.

On the taxi ride back to Ximena's place, Mike blew his nose in a tissue and tried to stick it in the pocket of the back of the driver's seat, which also disgusted Ximena, who called the move disrespectful. She wondered if Mike was a "slob" just because he had never lived with a woman, but it still worried her.

"If we get married, I don't want a messy husband with no manners. That's not the future I want," Ximena complained.

Mike explained to Ximena how he was diagnosed with ADHD in middle school, which affects his concentration and focus and makes him distracted. Ximena wished Mike had told her this sooner and said they needed to be more open and honest with each other.

Ximena said she felt better knowing Mike had a good reason for behaving the way he did, but she was also concerned about not knowing Mike all that well.

Mike told the cameras that he wanted to get engaged to Ximena, and so he was planning a marriage proposal in his mind and hoped to spend the rest of their lives together.

Once the pair returned to Ximena's children, Mike made spaghetti and cheese sauce to show how he could take care of all of them. Ximena thought the food was terrible and "uncooked" and asked her kids not to eat it, but she told Mike that it was very good.

Mike realized he should just stick to the cleaning based on Ximena's reaction to the food.

Later on, Mike met up with Ximena's father Jamir for a one-on-one conversation. Jamir wasn't convinced Mike had good intentions with his daughter, but Mike insisted that he loved Ximena very much and wanted to marry her.

Jamir asked Mike to reveal Ximena's favorite color, considering he thought he knew his girlfriend very well, and Mike replied "pink" when the answer is actually "black."

Jamie also asked Mike to learn Spanish, and he didn't want to see Ximena go through another failed relationship that could hurt his grandchildren.

"I can promise you that whatever happened the other two times is not going to happen to me," Mike said. "I love her too much... [and] I will give [Ximena]'s children the best."

Since Mike cared about and loved Ximena and her two sons, Jamir gave Mike his blessing to propose marriage, which is what Mike had been dreaming of. Mike longed to bring Ximena and her kids to America.

Juan and Harold were excited about the idea of Mike becoming their dad, and the boys didn't even want Mike to leave them the next day to return to the United States. Mike thought they could be a very happy family as long as Ximena said "yes" to getting engaged.

Mike asked Ximena and her sons to join him for a nice dinner that evening, and he intended to pop the question that night. Ximena gushed to her family about how Mike is a very loving and tender man, but she admitted there were things she didn't like about him.

But Ximena announced how she was not going to be Mike's employee in the United States or act like his mother. Ximena's parents told Ximena that she could teach Mike things around the house.

"I'm really nervous that we're rushing into this. I know Mike loves me, but marriage is forever," Ximena said. "So I think there are a lot of things to consider."

If Ximena ended her relationship with Mike, she'd also no longer have a way to pay for her apartment and would need to start working again. Jamir also reminded Ximena how Mike loved her children and would be there for them in the future.

Ximena also pointed out how her sons would receive a better education in the U.S. Ximena thought about how Mike could give her a better life, but she still had doubts.

CALEB and ALINA

The day after Alina revealed she had a more serious relationship with a man than she previously let on, Caleb said he realized he couldn't trust her. Caleb wasn't sure how this was going to impact their relationship after his trip to Turkey.

Caleb was upset Alina had kept a secret from him and that Elijah was the one who had brought it up to begin with. Alina said she was scared to ruin the good days she had with Caleb so far, and he said he just needed time to process things.

Caleb then went to the gym while Alina went to Elijah's room to say goodbye to him. Elijah advised Alina to give Caleb some time and space to think about things but still demand answers about their relationship.

Elijah reminded Alina how many men were waiting to date her in Saint Petersburg if her romance with Caleb didn't work out, and Elijah told Caleb before leaving that Alina is "a queen and deserves to be treated like one."

Caleb wanted to believe he and Alina could get past this lie of Alina having lived with her ex-boyfriend, but he still felt very blindsided.

Although Caleb still felt a little anger and hurt, he opted to focus on his relationship with Alina and give it a real shot. Caleb also appeared more comfortable and connected with Alina once Elijah left them alone.

The couple visited a traditional Turkish bathhouse to try to spend some romantic alone time together. The couple rolled in bubbles and got massages, and Caleb felt very exposed and called this "a reset and re-centering" for them as a couple.

Caleb told Alina that he just wanted to forget about her secret and he was prepared to be challenged by Alina as well as pursue her, and Alina responded, "I am glad to hear that."

Alina could tell Caleb really liked her and cared about her and that she wasn't "just another girl" in his life, but she worried Caleb wouldn't fully commit to her by the end of the trip.

GINO and JASMINE

Gino and Jasmine were on their way to "paradise," San Jose Island, which is 50 miles south from the Panama coast. Jasmine had booked the getaway, but Gino was paying for it.

Gino was forced to take off his hat in security, but Jasmine assured him that he's "a Hollywood star" and looked like "the Michigan version of Bruce Willis."

The pair had to take a private plane to get to the island, and she boasted about the trip costing a lot of money. Gino and Jasmine had started fresh on a clean slate after Jasmine danced with a male exotic dancer at her divorce party.

Gino and Jasmine were up high on a cliff with a beautiful view of the ocean, and being in such a beautiful place made Jasmine meditate about her behavior and bad attitude towards her boyfriend.

Jasmine thanked Gino for everything and for still loving her when she had shown him "the worst side" of her personality. Gino assured Jasmine that they were in a good place and their connection was growing, which made Jasmine cry tears of happiness.

"In the past, men have promised the world to me and my heart ended up shattered into tons of pieces," Jasmine said.

"But Gino has [proven] that he is committed to me, and I think it's time I put more faith in him. If I don't let my guard down, I might be jeopardizing Gino proposing to me -- or even worse, I could lose him forever."

Jasmine had built up trust in Gino, but then she calmly revealed how she had received a message. Jasmine didn't want to blow up on Gino again without knowing the facts.

"One of your exes [sent] me a message," Jasmine said. "She sent me a friend request and she told me that she wanted to chat with me. She also told me that you are still communicating and you have even told her about me."

Jasmine apparently replied to the woman that she trusted Gino had not been communicating with her and then she blocked the woman before she could respond again. Jasmine called the ex "jealous."

Gino looked nervous and Jasmine noticed it immediately, and so Jasmine asked, "I am giving you a chance to be honest. Did you text her?"

"A little bit, yes, but it didn't mean anything," Gino replied.

Gino said he wanted his ex to know that he had met the woman of his dreams, and Jasmine demanded specifics and dates.

"I don't know. It was two or three days ago," Gino said.

Jasmine decided to unblock the woman and continue talking to her, and Gino acknowledged he had made a mistake and wished he could take it back.

Once Jasmine checked her phone, she appeared to read a message and then asked Gino, "Did you send her naked pictures of me?"

Gino's response was not shown.

ELLA and JOHNNY

Ella was not willing to give up on her relationship with Johnny yet. She wanted Johnny to travel to Dubai, quarantine there for a couple of weeks, and then fly to the United States to be with her -- but Johnny was terrified of contracting COVID-19.

Johnny was supposed to leave for the trip in two weeks, and Ella complained about him delaying their in-person meeting over and over again.

Ella considered flying to Dubai and meeting Johnny there instead of making him fly to America. Ella couldn't go to China due to COVID-19 restrictions, but she wanted to show Johnny that she'd be willing to risk just as much for the sake of their relationship.

Ella's mother didn't like the idea of her daughter being alone in Dubai given she's white and naive, and Ella's finances also apparently weren't in good shape.

Ella's mother thought Ella was pushing too hard and may end up with her heart broken. After all, Ella had fallen in love with a man from India before and the romance ended disastrously.

However, Ella, as an adult, was able to make her own decisions, and her mom promised to support her and be there for her no matter what. Ella was desperate to see this through and find out if Johnny is truly her soul mate.

"Johnny means the absolute world to me. I need to touch him, I need to kiss him, I need to see for sure what's going to happen when we're together," Ella explained in a confessional.

"So this is it. This is going to be the perfect moment. We are going to meet in Dubai and see what's to come, and I am ready!"
