90 Day Fiance star Usman "SojaBoy" Umar has seemingly accused the show's producers of editing his video chat with ex-girlfriend Zara out of context on a recent fifth-season episode.

However, after Kim left, footage showed Usman, 32-year-old rapper from Nigeria, seeking "clarity" by videochatting with Zara, whom he dated before Kim and had written a romantic song about.
Usman proceeded to flirt with Zara -- who dumped Usman four months prior because she said she couldn't handle his career and female fans -- and suggest that he missed her and may want to get back together with her.
The rapper had pictured marrying Zara and starting a family with her when they were still together.
Usman said in a Wednesday, April 6, Instagram post that it took two hours of 90 Day Fiance producers "convincing" him to call Zara, according to In Touch Weekly.
"In Season 4 of Before the 90 Days, everyone watched me and know how I truly am back with Kimberly in Season 5. We go up and down, but we always fix our problems," SojaBoy said.
"Yes, due to the age gap I was hesitating then and I don't think I do anything wrong to care for myself before repeating my past mistake."
Usman mentioning a "past mistake" was likely referring to his previous failed marriage to his 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days Season 4 co-star, Lisa Hamme.
Lisa is 54 and Kim is 51, and Lisa struggled to trust Usman during their relationship and they split in May 2020.
Usman later served Lisa with divorce papers in December 2020 and Lisa has since remarried with a childhood friend.

He claimed, "The call with Zara was 5 days out 21 days after I arrived in Zanzibar and I never wanted to do it. It took me 2 hours to be convinced."
Usman expressed regret for the call and added, "Despite the argument before making the call, I blame myself for doing it. But why telling the world that I make the call after Kim left? That was never fair."
Usman therefore suggested that the call took place at another time.
Unfortunately, the footage did its damage and made Kim cry on Part 1 of the Tell-All special. She called Usman and Zara's call "humiliating" and "f-cked up" and stormed off the set in tears and anger.
"Look at Kimberly during the shoot in Zanzibar and the recording on the Tell-All you will see the difference. I make her that glowing," Usman said, insisting that he still makes Kim happy and they remain together.
"I have been good to that woman, and she will testify that."
Usman concluded in a message that appeared to be for 90 Day Fiance producers, "Please tell my story how it is. Don't edit because next time I will not tolerate this."

Kim acknowledged during the finale of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days' fifth season that she was leaving Usman feeling insecure and "on a doubtful note."
"How are we going to make this work? I'm trusting him by giving him another chance not to break my heart once we get back to the States, but I think Usman is worth the risk," Kim asked in a confessional.
And once Usman videochatted with Zara, he questioned, "Now I'm starting to wonder if I made the wrong decision," presumably in regards to having become Kim's boyfriend.
But Usman announced on the Tell All how he'd never love another woman the way he loved Kim. The couple had also slept together during Kim's two-week stay in Tanzania.
Kim, who lives in San Diego, CA, also suggested she'd be okay with Usman welcoming a child with another woman since she understands it's important to his family and culture.
Kim also said Usman sleeping with another woman wouldn't be cheating as long as she knows about it and there's a mutual respect.
