Mark Shoemaker was 58 and from Baltimore, MD, and Nikki was 19 and from Cebu City, Philippines when they met through an online dating service.
Mark has four adult children from a previous marriage, who are all older than Nikki.
Regardless, Mark proposed marriage and then Nikki moved to Maryland. Mark reportedly demanded Nikki sign a prenuptial agreement.
The couple reportedly sued TLC for how they were portrayed on the show, but the lawsuit was thrown out.
The pair maintain a low profile, but they are believed to still be married.
