Chantel Everett was a 25-year-old from Atlanta, GA and Pedro Jimeno was a 24-year-old from the Dominican Republic when he arrived in America on a K-1 visa.
After originally appearing on Season 4 of 90 Day Fiance, Chantel and Pedro were also part of the cast of Seasons 2, 3 and 4 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?.
Chantel and Pedro's love story began when the pair met online.
Chantel was looking for a Spanish teacher and she was introduced to Pedro by a mutual friend, but what began as a relationship for educational purposes quickly blossomed into a mutual crush.
Chantel decided to pursue a romance with Pedro by traveling to the Dominican Republic to visit him, and Pedro eventually proposed marriage during one of her several visits.Chantel worried her family would think Pedro was only after a green card to enter the U.S., but the pair still got married and are now living in the United States.
Chantel and Pedro had to overcome many obstacles, especially within their own families, but they are still together.
"We are working through things at this point, working through things," Pedro told Entertainment Tonight.
"We still have things that we don't agree on yet that are still there," he added.
Chantel and Pedro also appeared on an episode of 90 Day Fiance: Self-Quarantined in May 2020, showing the couple struggling to quarantine in their small apartment.
The couple have also continued to co-starred on The Family Chantel with members of their family.
