90 Day Fiance: The Other Way featured Lily threatening to call off her wedding to Josh, Statler feeling "used" by Dempsey, James breaking bad news to Meitalia's parents, and Sarper surprising Shekinah post-surgery during the Season 6 episode that aired Monday night on TLC.

The four new couples starring on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way are Josh from South Carolina and Lily from China, James from Maine and Meitalia from Indonesia, Corona from Pennsylvania and Ingi from Iceland, and Joanne from New York and Sean from Ireland.

The two returning couples are Shekinah from California and Sarper from Turkey as well as Statler from Texas and Dempsey from England.

Shekinah and Sarper were last seen on Season 5 of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, and 90 Day Fiance viewers last saw Statler and Dempsey on Season 6 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days.

90 Day Fiance: The Other Way follows six couples who fell in love with partners from foreign lands deciding to move abroad to live with them.

"One couple is packed and ready to start their van life together traveling through Europe; financial differences and family rifts are on full display, while secret marriages and troublesome pasts come into play," TLC teased of the currently-airing season.

The new season has featured Americans moving to China, Iceland, Ireland, Turkey, Indonesia, and England.

Below is what happened on Episode 16 of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way's sixth season.

DEMPSEY and STATLER

Dempsey and Statler had been traveling for almost two weeks through England and France. They had touched down in Paris and were getting comfortable in van life .

But Statler was about to start work the next day, and she acknowledged that was going to take some getting used to after having so much fun on the road with her partner.

Statler, however, quickly discovered that she didn't get Internet and so she couldn't do her job.

"If this continues to be an issue, I'll 100 percent get fired because I'm not coming across as reliable," Statler told the cameras.

Dempsey seemed annoyed that Statler was already "stressing" about work, but Statler pointed out how they needed money.

Statler therefore made a list of things she'd need to work, such as adapters, and Dempsey couldn't believe she had waited until the last minute to check if she had the right equipment.

"I do feel that it's one thing after another at the moment," Dempsey complained.

Statler vented about how Dempsey didn't seem to care about her needs. She wanted her job to be one of Dempsey's priorities because she was going to be the one bringing in the money.

Statler explained how Dempsey had agreed to be "the van wife" and take care of everything around the van -- but she wasn't delivering on her promises.

"It's what's putting food on the table... and gas in the tank. This is just another thing that makes me wonder, 'Is Dempsey all talk?'" Statler questioned.

Statler claimed Dempsey was off in "fairy tale" where everything was fine and wonderful all the time.

While Statler tried to figure out her job while on the road, Dempsey did more exploring in Chamomix and Statler said she "did not feel supported at all."

Statler told the cameras, "I can't help but feel like I'm being used."

When Dempsey returned home, Statler explained to Dempsey how they were going to have to work, drive and sleep. Statler wasn't going to be able to really see any of the beautiful places they were headed to, and that upset her.

After Dempsey fed Statler dinner, she broke down crying.

Dempsey said she felt very stressed because she was used to being on her own and living freely. The bed was now Statler's office and Dempsey noted it was hard to stay positive when someone was being so negative.

"It's really taking a toll. I thought I had a partner in this, but I'm really feeling quite alone," Dempsey cried.

Dempsey refused to tell Statler what was going on, which triggered Statler's anxieties. Statler said she was so in love with Dempsey and this made her fear what was coming next.

All Statler could do in that moment was hug and comfort Dempsey.

SHEKINAH and SARPER

Shekinah was shown waking up for surgery, and when she saw Sarper, she called him "my love."

Sarper told Shekinah that he loved her and she even looked beautiful in her facial bandages.

"I will take care of you, okay?" Sarper told his girlfriend. "I will take care of it. I am the perfect nurse."

Shekinah got emotional because of how well Sarper was taking care of her already.

"Seeing this side of him is just a reminder that we do have something really special, and I think we've come a long way," Shekinah said.

"I am just proud of him," she added in tears. "He is impressing me. There have been really hard times and not everything was easy, but he's doing great and I'm proud of us."

MEITALIA and JAMES

Meitalia and James went to a food tasting for their wedding, and Meitalia's parents came along.

James said Meitalia's parents didn't care how much things cost and her father, in particular, wasn't taking the couple's budget into account. James said this behavior was causing most of the problems in his relationship.

The wedding planning process was also "stressful" for the bride to be, who was anticipating a giant guest list and a lot of mouths to feed.

"I want a traditional wedding, too, but we cannot afford everything that my parents want... It's hard to keep everyone happy," Meitalia told the cameras.

James then asked Meitalia if she wanted him to talk about his lack of a desire to have children. Meitalia had wanted James to be open and honest about this with her parents. James had promised Meitalia's dad that he'd have a child, but he was going back on his word.

James shared with Meitalia's parents how he wasn't sure if he wants to have kids, and Meitalia's mother said that the primary reason for getting married it to have a child.

"What if I don't want to?" James asked.

"Then you will have no legacy," Meitalia's dad replied.

Meitalia's mother added how a marriage would feel "empty" without a kid. The conversation brought Meitalia to tears, and James began thinking that maybe his decision was selfish.

Meitalia's mom suggested that the couple should take their time and get their finances in order before having a baby, and that rational and practical reasoning prompted James to announce that maybe he'll change his mind down the road.

Meitalia's parents noted how their daughter brought so much joy to their lives, but James simply couldn't envision himself becoming a father.

James said this discussion wasn't going to go away, and so the idea of Meitalia's parents bringing up children constantly from that point forward was "terrifying" for him.

"I know that they don't agree with it and they think it's stupid and they want me to have children, period... I either need to change my mind to what they want or they're going to tell us not to get married and we'll break up," James explained.

"Not wanting to have children, I can't see it changing."

JOSH and LILY

Josh was shown taking his brother Jarod to the mall while Lily spent some quality time with her 27-year-old daughter Vivian. Lily said she and Vivian were best friends who could always confide in each other.

Josh and Vivian had issues in the past, but he hoped they were over that.

Vivian was apparently bothered that Josh didn't have a job and expected to be taken care of and waited on like "a king." Vivian wanted to see Josh step up and provide for her mother.

Vivian also claimed that Josh had lied so many times.

"Before my mom was married to Josh, Josh had changed his WeChat profile picture to one with a Vietnamese woman," Vivian told the cameras.

"Josh said this girl was a friend who had passed away. Then later, we found out this girl didn't actually die and this girl was his girlfriend at the time. If I was her, I would have kicked this man out a long time ago."

Lily told her daughter that Josh had apologized, but Vivian said not everything could be resolved with a simple apology.

Lily explained that when she had confronted Josh about the lie, he avoided her questions for a long time.

Vivian had wanted Lily to block and delete Josh on the chat app, but then Josh allegedly told Lily that he missed her and they got back together.

"He thought he was regretful and had made a huge mistake. He doesn't want to be alone because he is afraid of loneliness," Lily explained.

Lily insisted that she had left all of this in the past and they were married now. Lily hoped to live happily ever after with Josh, but Vivian looked concerned and worried.

Vivian admitted that she didn't want to see Josh at all.

When Josh and Jarod returned home, Josh met Vivian and announced how he really loved Lily.

Vivian admitted she still had a lot of questions for Josh because she knew about the woman from Vietnam.

Josh claimed he and Lily were dating long distance and so Lily had her doubts and their relationship was on and off at the time. Since josh craved companionship, he dated someone else.

Vivian reminded Josh how he had lied to Lily, but Josh said the woman was dead to him. Vivian clarified how "dead to" Josh didn't mean this woman had actually died.

Josh confessed to the cameras he had stretched the truth because he just wanted to be with Lily and not deal with any drama.

Lily also considered developing a relationship with another man during the time she and Josh had split, so Josh pointed that out.

Josh had found some of the messages because Lily had saved them, but Vivian said that was her mother's diary.

Lily insisted she'd never date two men at once and she wasn't like Josh, who was a "terrible" man.

"I told you that your daughter was going to try to destroy our marriage, and I was correct," Josh told Lily.

Josh asked Lily if they could just move forward, but she didn't appreciate how he was treating her daughter and trying to rewrite the past to make himself look innocent.

Josh said he didn't care if Vivian hated him because he just wanted to have a good relationship with his wife, but Jarod asked Josh to be more sensitive because Vivian was a part of his family now.

Vivian thought Josh was trying to blame his mistakes on other people, and she didn't agree with it at all.

Josh then asked Lily where she stood on their pending wedding, and she said they should think about potentially canceling it.

Lily said she was "sad" and "angry," and she didn't think this was how a good husband would behave.

"I've always forgiven you, but this time, I don't!" Lily noted.
