'90 Day Fiance: The Other Way' spoilers: Are Tim and Melyza still together or has the '90 Day Fiance' couple broken up?

90 Day Fiance couple Tim Clarkson decided to move back to the United States temporarily to work and make money, leaving Melyza Zeta devastated and worried on Season 2 of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way -- so did the couple break up or work things out, and are Melyza and Tim still together now?

[90 Day Fiance Spoiler Warning: This report includes spoilers revealing Tim and Melyza are still together or if the 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way couple has broken up.]

Tim, a 34-year-old from Dallas, TX, and Melyza, a 29-year-old from Colombia, met at a bar when Tim was enrolled in school at the University of Ohio.

Melyza was working as an au pair in Iowa and learning English when they met, and they apparently fell for each other quickly.

However, Melyza had to move to Boston in order to take a different job as an au pair, so the pair was forced to make their relationship a long-distance one.


Melyza eventually moved back to Colombia to finish her studies, which set the couple even farther apart, but Melyza had every intention to make a life with Tim in America and have children together.

However, Melyza found out Tim had cheated on her about a month prior to her arrival on a Tourist Visa.

Tim explained in a confessional, "Last year, the distance between me and Melyza at that time was very difficult. I felt lonely. And the girl that I ultimately cheated with was a co-worker. It just started off as casual conversation and it got to a point to where we did have a full-out, intimate sexual encounter."

Tim recalled that Melyza "had her suspicions" when she came to visit him in the United States.

"She noticed with my social media that something was up and prompted her to start digging, and she eventually confronted me about it," Tim told the cameras. "After that, we started arguing all the time."


Melyza was brokenhearted and felt betrayed, so Tim set out to prove to Melyza that he only wanted her for the rest of his life and his intentions were pure and genuine.

"I never in a million years thought that he's the kind of person who cheats -- ever," Melyza explained in a confessional.

"The pain I was going through completely consumed me. I was angry and upset, but I love him and have been with him for years now, so he kind of deserves a second chance."

Tim had to win back Melyza and her family because Tim said her parents disliking him would be like "a death sentence."

While Melyza and Tim had a sweet and happy reunion in Colombia, it didn't take long for Melyza to bring up the past.

"You keep telling me to be open and honest with you, but then every time I am, you just break up with me. So that prevented me from being open and honest with you," Tim told his girlfriend.

Melyza complained Tim was being "selfish" and manipulative by trying to blame his mistakes on her, and Tim was tired of having the same conversation over and over again.

"This conversation puts doubts in my mind. It's been over a year, and I thought we discussed this at nauseam... I don't know if we're ever going to get past that," Tim told the cameras.

To make matters worse, Tim spoke to Melyza's father man-to-man and confessed he had been with another woman -- and Melyza's father seemed horrified.


"Badly done man. We opened the doors of our home so that you could live with us. And well, for this to happen? That's no good in my book," Melyza's father responded, adding that he felt Tim was playing with his heart and playing with his daughter's heart.

Melyza's dad no longer viewed Tim as a good guy, and he advised his daughter to break up with Tim since love is based on trust and Melyza no longer trusted her boyfriend.

Tim tried to find a job through an employment agency to show Melyza he could provide for her, but he learned he needed a worker's permit in order to get a job, a visa, or a residency card. He discovered the easiest way to get a job would be to marry a woman who could obtain all the legal paperwork for him.

But Melyza said getting married was not on her mind "at all," and she had yet to tell Tim that she had been intimate with another man when they were broken up.

A friend had introduced Melyza to this man, and she told the cameras the romance "just happened" when she wasn't looking for anything and the relationship was "mostly sexual."


"We never discussed if we should be seeing other people or not [or] if we stopped being exclusive or not," Melyza said in a confessional.

Melyza didn't want to tell Tim the fling was "a very passionate relationship" that ended about a month prior.

When Melyza finally confessed to Tim that she had sex with this man multiple times, Tim seemed absolutely crushed because he and Melyza never had an official breakup in his mind.

"I wish she told me before I moved here [to Colombia] because it's making me second guess whether she's actually serious about us," Tim lamented in a confessional. "It's tough."

Melyza assured Tim that her fling didn't mean anything to her and she was focused on rebuilding their relationship and trust between them, but Tim told his girlfriend that he needed some space and time to think about things.


Tim said the news left him feeling "devastated" and "lost" and he didn't really know what to think.

Meanwhile, Melyza also had "mixed feelings" about her relationship with Tim and wasn't happy or thriving.

"I don't think you're as in love anymore. I don't see it. Seriously," Melyza's mother said when the women got together one evening.

Melyza broke down into tears, saying she still hadn't completely processed what Tim had done to her. She couldn't even tell her boyfriend that she loved him.

Melyza knew she had to forgive Tim -- both for him and herself -- in order to move forward.

Tim's mother Robin, who allegedly once threatened to call the police on Melyza when Melyza and Tim got into a screaming match over his affair, then visited Colombia along with Tim's aunt Karmyn.


Melyza said that moment involving the police made her lose respect for Robin, and Tim realized Robin being around could actually be bad for his relationship.

Tim's mother also apparently once said Melyza wasn't good for her son and they shouldn't be together, so Melyza didn't anticipate the smoothest reunion.

However, Robin and Melyza had a nice visit with each other, and Robin assured Melyza that she still loved and respected her, which made Melyza feel a little better even though Robin wouldn't apologize.

Tim admitted to his mother that he was scared Melyza only viewed him as a friend since he had done so much damage to their relationship. Tim wasn't sure Melyza could view him as a lover and romantic partner again.

"I'm feeling wracked with uncertainty because I don't have a job and marriage is not on the table right now. I'm going to have to move back to the States, and I'm extremely worried about how that's going to affect Melyza and I's relationship," Tim explained.


Tim and Melyza later met with a couples' counselor in order to work on the emotional aspect of their relationship as well as the logistics of how they'd start a life together in Colombia.

Melyza said she wanted to forgive Tim for cheating on her and they were "making progress."

Tim was worried about finances and putting the couple "in a hole," and so he told the counselor he was thinking about returning to the United States so he could make money again, and Melyza appeared surprised and disappointed.

"I think it's kind of going to be a breaking point for everything we've accomplished so far," Melyza shared. "I don't know. I still don't trust [him]. Not at all."

Melyza said she didn't realize Tim was seriously considering a move back to America and if he followed through with it, she believed it would speak negatively on his commitment to her.

Melyza admitted the idea of Tim moving to the United States made her "nervous and uncomfortable," but Tim insisted the only reason for him going back would be to put themselves in a more stable financial position long-term.


Tim then found out his job in the United States wasn't going to extend him any more time off, so he realized he must go home to work and make money. Tim said he was trying to do what was best to support them as a couple long-term.

Tim explained to Melyza that his savings were running out and so he'd have to return to the United States in a couple of weeks to resume working.

Tim revealed he had already purchased his plane ticket, which made Melyza feel like he was making decisions by himself.

"I can't believe that he's leaving. I think this is bullsh-t. This was definitely not what we were planning on doing. This is not what I expected, and I'm just really disappointed," Melyza told the cameras.

Melyza said Tim was just thinking about himself and not following through on his promises, but Tim called that "a low blow."


Tim said he was absolutely going to live in Colombia but it didn't make sense for him to stay with her when he had no money and no job.

Tim assured Melyza that he would return to Colombia immediately after being able to land a job in her home country. Tim explained that he needed to be realistic and had no idea when or how soon he'd be able to return to Colombia.

"I don't know if I should wait for you, honestly," Melyza noted.

Tim worried Melyza was going to find another man, but Melyza said she wasn't looking for another guy.

"I'm going to be thinking all the time that you're with somebody else," Tim confessed.

"I'm gonna be thinking the same, too," Melyza replied.


Tim wished he could trust Melyza, but he was scared she was going to grow tired of their rollercoaster of a relationship. Tim didn't want to lose Melyza forever, and he told her that he loved her and only wanted to be with her.

"I'm not moving back to run away from you; I'm moving back so that I can run back to you," Tim said while holding Melyza's hands.

Melyza said she loved him and wanted their relationship to work out so badly. She was just scared something would go wrong and they wouldn't end up together.

"I did feel true and real love with him," Melyza told the cameras, adding that she didn't want to be wrong.

Melyza later asked Tim when he planned to come back while he was packing his bags. Tim got emotional and worried this might be the last time he'd ever see Melyza, but Melyza said they could stay together as long as they both worked hard at it.

Melyza said she really wanted the relationship to work, and Tim repeated how he really loved her.

"I love you too, baby," Melyza replied, which lifted Tim's spirits.

The pair later had an emotional goodbye at the airport, and Tim said he was more convinced than ever that Melyza is the woman he wants to be with forever. Melyza cried also, saying things felt right when she and Tim were together and she was going to miss him terribly.

Are Tim and Melyza still together and making things work or has the 90 Day Fiance couple broken up?

Tim and Melyza have commented on each other's Instagram photos a couple of times in the last month.

Tim, for instance, posted a promo picture of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, and Melyza commented, "I remember that day," along with emojis of two eyes wide open. Tim then replied, "Me too."

And on Melyza's Instagram, she posted a photo showing off her red hair and red lips, and Tim commented with a red, sweating emoticon with its tongue out.


The pair clearly still have some type of relationship, whether it's romantic or just a friendship.

Melyza, however, hinted her relationship with Tim might be over in a series of comments she wrote on a mid-November Instagram photo of herself with her two fluffy white dogs. In the photo, Melyza was flashing a big smile.

One of Melyza's followers commented, "Hmm she's smiling, must have left Tim."

And Melyza responded, "I like your rationale," along with two crying-laughing emoticons.

"I think you hate Tim," wrote another fan.

"Maybe," Melyza replied.


Melyza also commented three hearts when a person wrote to her that she deserves better than Tim and deserves to be treated right.

Melyza also shared more details on Tim's affair when an Instagram user accused her of a double standard since she had hooked up with a guy when she and Tim were on a break.

"He started an alternate relationship before I moved there and continued it while I was living with him and we were planning to get engaged. After months of trying, going to counseling and so on, I moved back home and we broke up, we weren't in each other's life's when I started seeing another person," Melyza explained.

"After months of not communicating, we got in touch, and he decided to move here, in a matter of days. I owed him no explanation of my life as a single woman yet thought that it was fair if he knew so we could have a fresh start."

She added, "Don't overthink it too much, this is a show and you have no idea how/what went on before, during and after filming."


In October when teasing an episode of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way's second season, Melyza shared a clip of Tim accusing her of "playing games," and Melyza captioned the video, "Not a player..."

There is also no sign of Melyza on Tim's Instagram account except for a post on February 25, when he shared a photo of the pair standing in front of an "I [Heart] Medellin" sculpture, as well as very old photos dating back to 2017.

But Tim hinted he still had some type of relationship with Melyza in late June when he shared how they were bracing themselves for their TLC debut on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way's second season.

"Tonight is the night. Our first episode," Tim captioned a video. "Melyza and I are feeling nervous and excited that tonight is our first episode that we will FINALLY appear @melyzazeta."

When a fan wrote she was "rooting" for Tim and Melyza to be together, another one of Tim's followers asked, "Why?"

Tim replied, "Bc she recognizes that I messed up and I am a dork BUT even dorks deserve redemption."


However, Tim has since deleted the post.

Meanwhile, Melyza hasn't posted a photo with Tim on her Instagram account since July 2017.

"You're committed, incredibly annoying, THE cutest, and definitely my favorite person in the world," she wrote alongside the photo at the time.

On July 26, Melyza threw some shade at Tim when she shared a video of Tim recalling his affair. However, that post has since been deleted.

"My eyes are light-sensitive, [which] makes me blink a lot. But, no worries, I can still see through the BS," Melyza wrote in the now-deleted caption.


Tim told the Dallas Observer in June that he wasn't looking for a serious relationship when he met Melyza.

"When I laid eyes on her for the first time it was obviously someone who was very gorgeous, but she also had this kind of aura to her. I knew I had to try," Tim noted, although Melyza lived in Colombia.

"The Catch-22 is that you might be pursuing something for longer than you would have otherwise because you've invested more in the long-distance relationship."

When choosing to sign up for the 90 Day Fiance spinoff, Tim admitted, "We didn't know how it would affect our relationship. We knew the audience would be able to see us for better or for worse... I never saw myself as being on TV, especially reality TV, because of the negative stereotypes."

Tim also teased during his interview fans would see a lot of "growth" come from Tim and Melyza separately as well as a couple.


"I think [the viewers] start out with preconceived notions and I think how it progresses will make them think differently," Tim shared. "Not just from the perspective of our story, but also from the self-reflection that they'll have."

While Tim didn't disclose his relationship status with Melyza at the time, he told the Dallas Observer that appearing on 90 Day Fiance actually benefited his relationship in surprising ways.

"It really kind of made us analyze and examine our relationship in a much more positive fashion than I thought we would have been able to do," Tim said.

He added, "One of the things I do like about this is that there are people out there who can find similarities to my story or her [Melyza's] story... I was 100% myself."

Tim concluded his interview by saying the couple's story is "all true" and "valid."
