The 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? cast will "continue to navigate the highs and lows in their relationships including everything from preparing for first impressions with the in-laws, to managing significant cultural differences, to working through turbulent family dynamics and more," according to TLC.

Below is what happened on Episode 16 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?'s eighth season.

JASMINE and GINO

Jasmine tried on her pink bathing suit for the swimsuit competition in her beauty pageant, and Gino thought she looked great. Jasmine asked Gino to give her a rating, and he gave her a four.

"Be more supportive and stop putting me down!" Jasmine snapped.

The 2023 Miss International World pageant then commenced, and the hosts said that the judges would be looking for beauty, intelligence and confidence.

When Jasmine took the stage for the first time in a rehearsal, Gino said her walk didn't look good and needed improvement. He also thought her posture was lacking, and so Jasmine told him to "shut up" and called him "very rude."

Jasmine was trying to keep her energy and spirits up, and she said she wasn't feeling any positive reinforcement from her husband. She therefore uninvited him to the rehearsals, and Gino was totally shocked.

"This is the thanks that I get?!" Gino snapped.

"Be my husband, not my coach," Jasmine countered.

Gino didn't know if Jasmine was trying to start a fight with him or get back at him, and her decision really hurt his feelings. Gino wondered if he should just pack up his bags, leave Florida, and return home to Michigan alone.

ANGELA and MICHAEL

Angela thought she was going to return to the U.S. and pull the visa, but she changed her mind after Michael had shown her emotion and admitted that he felt really lonely. Angela, however, still had to decide if Michael was telling her the truth about his intentions.

Angela wanted Michael to prove to her that he really loved her and wanted to come to America solely to be with her. Angela feared that Michael was using her.

Michael acknowledged Angela's lack of trust in him was his fault because he had been "shady" and told lies. Michael therefore hoped things could change and he could win Angela's trust back.

Michael offered his phone to Angela, saying she could look through it because he wasn't hiding anything.

Angela told Michael that they were making steps in the right direction but she wanted him to stop making trouble. She also asked him to delete the chat on his phone about getting Nigerian men to America.

Angela asked Michael to be real with her and open up to her. She didn't want to just hear the right answer all the time.

Angela and Michael were then shown flying to -- and finally arriving in -- the United States. It was seven years in the making, and both Angela and Michael were thrilled.

Michael was proudly wearing an American flag for a jacket, but he couldn't believe how cold it was outside. Michael seemed to have tears in his eyes once they landed.

Angela refused to think about negative things that were going to bring her down, and she looked forward to Michael reuniting with her in the United States one day in the near future.

Michael told Angela that he couldn't wait to meet her grandkids, go to fancy restaurants, and travel around the United States. Angela was certain that Michael was going to be a great husband, stepdad and grandfather to her family.

"If Michael isn't here for the right reasons... I'm not going to be the only one getting hurt. But at this point, he's here. I brought him here and there's no turning back, and that's the scary part," Angela told the cameras.

LOREN and ALEXEI

Loren went shopping with her friend Noga after her mommy makeover to find an outfit for a date night with Alexei, who had been upset and stressed out. Loren thought she and Alexei needed some time alone to fix their relationship and bond after a big argument.

Loren felt like Alexei resented her for doing the surgery to begin with, and she apparently feel guilty about that. Noga thought Alexei's expectations of Loren as a wife and mother were high, so she hoped he'd be more patient with Loren.

Loren tried on a tight pink dress, but she complained that you could still see dimples in her body.

Loren noticed her body dysmorphia issues still weren't gone, even after thousands of dollars in procedures. She said she wasn't "quite there" physically or emotionally yet.

Loren shared that her intimacy with Alexei wasn't enough for him due to the surgery and conflict in their household, so she was hoping they could change that and get back on track.

The surgery was the first step toward Loren "reclaiming" herself, but Loren vented about how she wasn't sure if Alexei -- who liked her cooking and cleaning at home for the kids -- wanted "the old Loren back."

Once Loren returned home, she got ready for her dinner date, and she expressed how it was "a really big deal." She just hoped that Alexei was going to be happy with the results of her surgery.

When Loren stepped out in her leopard-print dress, Alexei cheered and smiled big. He told his wife that he liked the way she looked, but Loren was nervous about this night with her husband after months of recovery and relationship tests.

Loren shared with Alexei that night how she wanted to be a working mom again and get back into advertising and marketing. Loren wanted to be something other than a mother, but Alexei apparently expected his wife to stay at home and take care of her family.

Loren said she wanted to find herself again and be a businesswoman, but Alexei didn't think that was possible. Alexei didn't want Loren to take time away from her family, which he considered to be their very top priority.

Loren insisted she could be a mom and maintain a job simultaneously, telling her husband, "You'll see!"

ASHLEY and MANUEL

Manuel admitted he had conversations with the mother of his children before but they were no longer in communication. Manuel therefore claimed his friend Jonathan had lied to Ashley about his behavior.

Ashley understood that Manuel needed to send his kids money, but she wanted him to be open and honest with her about his actions. Ashley suggested that his secrecy was ruining their marriage.

Manuel said he felt hurt and offended because he didn't send his ex-girlfriend money when Jonathan claimed he had. Manuel said he didn't even have his bank card that day to complete the transaction.

Manuel couldn't believe that Ashley was listening to and believing other people over himself, and this conversation was a repetitive one. Ashley said she didn't feel "heard" and she was tired of "digging for information" with her husband.

"I am at my limit with any sort of deception," Ashley vented to the cameras.

When asked if she regretted bringing Manuel to America, she replied, "I don't know."

PATRICK and THAIS

In order to get away from family drama and chaos, Patrick and Thais returned to the spot where they had their first date in Brazil. At that time, the pair could barely communicate and they pretty much just sat in silence.

Once the couple met, Patrick learned Portuguese so he could speak to his love interest, and she eventually learned English.

However, the dinner quickly turned tense once Patrick and Thais began talking about their fathers. Patrick hadn't won Thais' father over yet, and Thais was upset that Patrick's dad continued to ask him for money.

Patrick then broke down into tears about how his dad wasn't around when he was younger.

Thais said Patrick typically had a difficult time showing his feelings and displaying emotion, and so she was very surprised to watch him cry at the restaurant.

When Patrick's dad worked as a truck driver, he was apparently gone for months -- or even years -- at a time. Patrick said he once went five years without seeing his father.

Once Patrick and Thais began renting an apartment from his dad in Brazil, the men finally had something to talk about and do together, according to Patrick.

Patrick apparently believed the apartment had finally bonded him with his father -- and he didn't want to throw that dynamic away for a few hundred dollars. Patrick called the arrangement "priceless," and Thais thanked her husband for sharing how he really felt.

Thais understood the situation a little better and concluded that she wasn't going to push him to get rid of the apartment again. Thais told Patrick that she wanted to see him happy and thriving.

Patrick insisted he was happy but he wanted Thais to spend more time with John and bond with him more. Patrick said if Thais bonded with his brother, he'd try to bond with her dad, and they agreed.

ROB and SOPHIE

Rob didn't want to sit at home and wait for Sophie to come back to him, so he took a trip to his hometown of Kansas City, MO, to visit his mom for his birthday. Rob wanted to feel some "good energy" and not spend his birthday fighting with his wife.

Rob was also looking forward to reuniting with childhood friends and partying for his birthday.

Rob went to lunch with his mother that day, and she called him strong-willed and loyal. She didn't like to see her son struggling so much in his marriage and living in limbo.

Rob had only wanted to get married once, and he didn't want to see his relationship with Sophie fail. However, Rob's mom didn't want to see him in an unhappy and unhealthy union.

"It's very hard to wrap my head around divorce... But I don't get anything out of this relationship," Rob lamented in a confessional.

"I don't get any love, I don't get any intimacy, I don't get any affection, I don't get any consideration. I don't get anything out of it! I can't do that to myself forever."

That night, Rob went out to a club with his best friend Parker for his birthday, and Sophie went out with one of his girlfriends.

Rob took shots with his friends and had fun, but he said he didn't want to do anything that was going to make his relationship with Sophie worse.

However, a bottle server named Julia hit on Rob. The woman told him that he was "cute" and asked to bite his neck. Rob was getting a lot of attention from women, and he explained to Julia how he was in a  very complicated situation.

Julia admitted to the cameras she was "obsessed" with Rob and he was "perfect." She didn't think he deserved to deal with issues in his relationship.

"Selfishly, I want to take him home and get to know him, and that's that!" Julia told the cameras.

Julia asked Rob if she could give him her phone number, but he didn't want to cheat on Sophie.

KOBE and EMILY

At Kobe and Emily's wedding in Cameroon, Kobe's best friend announced how everyone agreed Emily could take care of her husband and they approved of their union.

Emily appreciated the kind words, especially when Kobe's pal wished them the best going forward.

No one in Kobe's family had ever married a white American woman, and so he was so happy to have his family and friends' love and support. Kobe and Emily's marriage was blessed by Kobe's ancestors, and they honored his parents' traditions and customs.

Emily and Kobe were now officially married under American and Cameroonian law.

Kobe and Emily then drove to Kobe's parents' home in order to say goodbye to everybody. Emily brought Kobe's family a few gifts as their new daughter, and she dressed Kobe's dad in an American outfit, including a fanny pack and new sneakers.

Kobe's dad did a little dance in the outfit and it was an emotional and sweet goodbye for Kobe and Emily. Kobe's dad said that, despite Kobe's absence, he was going to remain in his heart. Kobe's parents felt very loved, and Kobe enjoyed watching his family accept his wife.
