Angela, a 54-year-old from Hazlehurst, GA, and Michael, a 30-year-old from Lagos, Nigeria, initially starred on Season 2 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days before also appearing on Season 3 of the TLC spinoff.

Angela, a divorced grandmother of six children, met Michael, whose formal name is Kehinde Ilesanmi, for the first time on Facebook. The pair talked on the phone for several months until Angela decided to travel to Nigeria in order to meet Michael in person.

Despite having received warnings from friends that Michael might be scamming her, Angela intended to propose marriage right away.

But once the pair got to know each other better in Nigeria, Angela discovered some red flags, and so she realized she needed more time to get to know Michael and his intentions.

Angela's trust issues in her relationship with Michael worsened as time went on because she accused him of lying over and over again. The couple fought constantly and broke up but reconciled multiple times.

Angela didn't like Michael's friends, and she frequently questioned how serious he was about her because of his partying and social-media activity.

The main problem for Angela and Michael, however, is that Michael wants to have a baby so his family name will continue on. Given Angela's age, there isn't much hope she can carry a baby herself.

"I would be lying if I tell her I can be happy without a child," Michael confessed to cameras during the third season of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days.

Season 3 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days finished airing on TLC in October.

On the Tell-All special, Angela revealed she and Michael were still together and in the midst of the K-1 visa application process that would allow Angela to bring Michael to America and give the couple 90 days to get married.

Michael was preparing for his K-1 visa interview at the time and Angela was saving up money for Michael's arrival into the United States.

During the Tell-All -- which was filmed this past summer -- Angela told the cameras Michael would probably be moving to America by the end of 2019.

While Angela and Michael were not part of TLC's initial cast announcement for 90 Day Fiance's seventh season, the network had revealed they would be part of the season's cast in a season preview trailer it released shortly before the season's November 3 premiere.

Michael and Angela first appeared in the show's December 8 broadcast after being absent from the first five episodes.

Angela was shown receiving Botox in her face at age 53 so she could look fresh and young for Michael's anticipated arrival.

"I finally found The One. I just knew it from our first kiss," Angela told the cameras.

Angela revealed Michael's K-1 visa interview was "coming up soon" and she expected him to arrive in the United States within a month.

"What a party we're going to have!" Angela gushed.

Angela said she had a lot of responsibility because she was taking care of her mother, daughter Skyla and her six grandchildren. Angela said Michael was going to have to be "Mr. Mom" since he wouldn't be able to work for a while in America.

Angela noted if Michael thought he was just going to sit around and relax at her home, he had another thing coming.

Skyla did not have faith Michael was going to become "Mr. Mom" and suddenly take care of a household full of kids. Skyla said Michael was just trying to "scam" Angela and her mom was "delusional."

"He's going to be my husband, and if no one can deal with that, I can't help ya," Angela told Skyla and her mother, before telling the cameras, "It's my house, my rules, and I'll have 90 days to figure this out."

Angela was nervous about Michael's interview because he had to prove their romance was authentic and sincere by answering a series of questions. Angela then FaceTimed with Michael, who insisted everything was ready and they'd be fine.

"Don't worry. I've got this," Michael said before his interview.

Angela said Michael had to bring documents with him to the interview and be prepared, so she hoped Michael was taking this very seriously. Angela insisted she wasn't going to move to Nigeria if Michael's K-1 visa was denied because of her family in Georgia.

"If you screw up... we'll be done," Angela told him, before telling the cameras, "If Michael fails this interview, I told him, 'We're probably done'... I don't have the strength. I'm not getting any younger. It's either the K-1 or K-done."

Michael then told the cameras he and Angela had been through some major ups and downs in their relationship but he loved her and appreciated how strong of a woman she is. Michael said he appreciated how Angela spoke her mind and tended to be straightforward.

Michael looked forward to being with his fiancee in the United Stated and starting a new life together, but he acknowledged there would be a big adjustment to make upon his arrival into America.

Michael said he didn't want to be supported by the woman in his life but he was impressed Angela is such a hard worker.

Angela and Skyla were later shown going wedding-dress shopping together. This was going to be Angela's second marriage, but she felt like it was her first.

Skyla told Angela to wait to make such a big purchase until Michael's K-1 visa actually gets approved, but Angela remained positive everything was going to work out and she would marry Michael during his 90-day stay in America.

Skyla never thought Angela and Michael's relationship would last this long, and she told the cameras it was "unbelievable" they were now shopping for wedding dresses.

When Angela found the perfect dress -- an off-the-shoulder gown with an embellished bodice and loose, flowing skirt -- she told the cameras, "I'm truly in love with Michael, and I know he loves me. I want to look my best for Michael, and I feel elegant."

Later on, Angela was shown waiting on a phone call from Michael so he could tell her about his interview for a K-1 visa. She hoped he'd be "coming home to his baby," and this was a call she had been "waiting on for years."

Michael then FaceTimed Angela and she was admittedly "scared to death." Once the pair connected on the phone, Michael revealed some horrible news to Angela.

Michael flashed some papers on the screen and read, "After reviewing all of your documents and information presented, you have been found ineligible to receive a visa... The office has decided  to return your case to the USCIS with our recommendation that the petition be revoked."

"Are you kidding me?! You got denied?! Why?" Angela yelled. "What the hell, Michael?!"

Angela said she was "in shock" and couldn't believe the news. She felt someone had hit her and knocked the breath right out of her. Michael broke down and cried over the phone, and it was the first time Angela had seen him cry.

Angela called the situation "painful," and Michael couldn't believe the time, money and energy they had spent only to end up like this.

Angela felt cheated as a tax payer because she thought Michael had met all the criteria and she had already traveled to Nigeria twice to see him.

"What do you want? A porno?! There's nothing more to give," Angela vented in a confessional. "It's not right. I'll do what it takes to get Michael over here so we can be a family."

Angela told Michael to cheer up because they'd figure things out together and she loved him, and with that being said, Michael expressed his love right back and gathered his composure.

Michael subsequently told his friends he loved Angela was very much and was not dating her just for the visa. He then broke the news he had been denied a K-1 visa and was "destabilized" over the bad news.

"I love her so much, and she loves me. It's not about the visa. It's about my love, my genuine love for her," Michael told his friends. "I just want to be with her."

Michael's friends thought Angela was trashy and that Michael was making a big mistake, but Michael said he'd be willing to give up his friends for Angela and his relationship. He just figured his friends were jealous of what he had.

In the latest episode of 90 Day Fiance's seventh season, Angela admitted she was losing her mind and had been "a hot mess" ever since learning Michael's K-1 visa had been denied.

Angela said her heart was crying but she was prepared to "fight like hell" to get her man over to the United States.

Angela's heart was broken but she couldn't accept her relationship ending this way.

However, Angela met with her lawyer and learned Michael had yet to receive an official denial. Instead, it was just recommended that Michael's visa be denied.

Angela discovered she had some options. After receiving a denial or a request for more evidence, Angela's lawyer explained she could appeal the decision and then file some additional information.

For instance, Angela could divulge how much time she spent talking to Michael on the phone and through video chat, which included staying up late into the night.

The lawyer revealed 60 percent of appealed cases end up being granted visas but the process would take another six months. Angela and Michael also had the opportunity to reapply for the K-1 visa again, which was a daunting task in Angela's mind and made her furious.

"I am 54 this year. I work hard, and if I want to get married in the United States of America, I have the right to do that," Angela argued.

"It's my tax-paying right! It's our choice whether they're scamming us, using us or not to bring them over here if we can afford them. It's that simple. Quit protecting people who don't need to be protected. I protect myself."

If Angela went over to Nigeria and married Michael over there, she'd be looking at another year for a spousal visa to be granted. Angela's lawyer also warned her a divorce would be very complicated if she chooses to wed in Nigeria.

Angela really wanted her sick mother to witness her wedding, and she said she couldn't afford to fly her family members over to Nigeria. It seemed like the best choice was to file an appeal and hopefully win it.

If Angela lost the appeal, she could file for the K-1 visa again and face about 18 more months away from Michael. And if Angela got married in Nigeria, she'd be looking at 18 months or maybe even two more years away from her fiance.

Angela felt robbed of her time with Michael, and she decided to fly to Nigeria to get to the bottom of things.

Later on, Angela packed for her trip to Nigeria and she was stressed out.

Angela kissed her family goodbye with the intention of staying in Nigeria for two weeks. Angela was on a quest for more information, particularly in regards to Michael's interview for the K-1 visa.

Meanwhile, Michael met with an immigration lawyer to show Angela he was trying his best to reach a solution.

Michael, however, was advised against doing an appeal because chances of his visa being accepted were allegedly slim.

"They hold the decision of the consulate officer in very high regard," the lawyer explained.

"It will be very difficult for them to overturn that decision. So I would advise you to get married here and then apply for the K-3... spousal visa."

Michael needed to convince the visa officer his intentions were 100 percent genuine, and so the lawyer said Michael's best chance of going to the United States was to get married in Nigeria first.

So did Michael end up getting his K-1 visa approved and coming to America? Is the 90 Day Fiance couple still together?

Michael took to his Instagram Stories in late December to provide fans with an update on his relationship with Angela.

Michael revealed he's still in Nigeria while answering fans' questions in a live video session.

"You all know now about the status of my visa... God knows the best... It's okay. I'm over it. I'm over it. But it's painful now," Michael said in the four-minute video.

When a fan asked Michael where Angela was, he replied, "I'm still in Nigeria. My visa was denied."

"You guys should keep watching [90 Day Fiance]," Michael added.

"Thank you all for the support. I appreciate [the comments] and I know Angela does too. Thank you very much. You all don't know what goes on behind the camera. What you guys see is what you believe."

Michael confirmed he and Angela were managing the Instagram page together as a team. He said all other pages are fake.

Based on Michael and Angela's united front, it appears they're still together and trying to figure things out. After all, Angela insisted she wasn't going to give up on Michael and their future together.

In late December, the couple posted a series of bathroom selfies together in which they were smiling and hugging.

And on December 20, Angela wrote on their shared Instagram account, "Michael know his woman love some filet mignon muah ty baby."

Back on November 28, Angela and Michael posted a photo of themselves driving in a car.

"Love recognizes no barriers," the pair wrote.
