Nicole and Azan have seemingly been starring on the franchise for so long, without much progress in their relationship, that haters are starting to crack inappropriate jokes such as changing the show's "90 Day" title to "90 Year" when it comes to this couple.
Prior to their appearance on the currently-airing fourth season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?, Nicole and Azan also starred on Season 4 and Season 5 of the original 90 Day Fiance series as well as Season 3 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? on TLC.
The couple's romance began when Nicole, who was a 21-year-old from Bradenton, FL, at the time, met Azan, who was a 23-year-old from Agadir, Morocco, through a mobile dating app.
Nicole fell for Azan so fast that she decided to travel all the way to Morocco to visit him, leaving her toddler daughter May at home.
Nicole was completely smitten with Azan during her trip, but the pair has to overcome some major obstacles.
For instance, Nicole found herself angry and crying over the fact Azan refused to show her any physical affection in public.
Their lack of intimacy had Nicole wondering if Azan truly liked her -- especially since he was shown calling her "a little big" on camera -- but Azan insisted his behavior was due to his strict religion and respect for his culture.

Although Nicole and Azan couldn't kiss in front of people or even stay in the same hotel room, they continued to date and get to know each other better.
Problems within their relationship, however, deepened when Nicole later admitted she had cheated on Azan and neither individual was willing to convert to Azan's Islam or Nicole's Christian beliefs.

Regardless, Azan eventually chose to propose marriage to Nicole and become a father figure for her young daughter.
The pair seemed to believe their love for each other would conquer all, but Azan's K-1 visa was denied, and so Nicole was heartbroken to discover her fiance could not move to the United States.
As fans may recall on the third season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?, Nicole therefore traveled to Morocco again under the impression they would get married and obtain a spousal visa for Azan so he could subsequently move to America.
Recordings of what seemed to be Azan on the phone with another woman talking about kissing her leaked, but Nicole opted to trust Azan and leave the incident in the past.
Although the pair got along great and Nicole seemed ready to be a wife, Nicole and Azan apparently postponed their wedding due to financial burdens.
And Azan -- who didn't exactly seem ready or excited to tie the knot -- appeared to convince Nicole to invest $6,000 of her money for the wedding into opening a beauty store instead. (He said he was investing $500).

Nicole acted as if she and Azan were on the same page about the reasons for canceling their nuptials, but she was admittedly upset to return to Florida alone and still unmarried.

Nicole was shown discussing how she planned to travel back to Morocco to get married to Azan once and for all.
Nicole insisted she wants to spend the rest of her life with Azan.
But Nicole revealed the truth about what happened with the alleged beauty store.
"There is no store," Nicole admitted to a producer. "But I haven't told my family because my family does nothing but grill me."
In a more recent episode, Nicole suggested to Azan they both travel to a vacation spot where Azan wouldn't need a tourist visa and they could be affectionate with each other in public.
Nicole was desperate to see Azan and figured Grenada would be a fun and relaxing place for them to spend some time together.
Nicole, however, was hurting for cash and would need to come up with the money in order to make the trip since Azan wasn't really working.

In the latest episode, Nicole's family was shown expressing disapproval over her relationship with Azan. Her mother and father were especially skeptical of Azan's intentions and whether he really loved their daughter.
Nicole, however, stood by her man and asked her family not to worry or judge. She even began dieting so she would feel great about herself upon seeing her fiance again.
So what has happened between Azan and Nicole since filming ended?! Are they still together? Have they gotten married?
During a Q&A Instagram session with fans in late April, Nicole explained the real reasons why she and Azan had canceled their wedding in 2018.Money apparently played a big role in the decision, but that wasn't all.

She also said they didn't have "enough funds" to pay for the wedding at the time, which had been shown on the TLC reality series.
Nicole told her fans she and Azan will get married when "they are ready" and when "the right moment" comes -- and it won't be for TV.
"It was too fast! I don't want to feel pressure to marry my best friend. I want to enjoy the process of marrying him," Nicole explained.

Nicole also confessed she and Azan had made everything up about their alleged plan to open a beauty store together in Morocco, as well as the $6,000 Nicole supposedly contributed to the project.
"Plot twist. No store = There was no 6k," Nicole wrote during the Q&A session, later reiterating how "there was no money" at all to begin with.
"Why did we lie? Because we suck at reality tv. Idk. I'm so tired of this show... But [TLC] didn't tell us to say it."
Until they do actually get married, Nicole and Azan have been keeping their romance alive by using Skype, flirting via text and video chatting.
Despite having hard days, Nicole still dreams of having Azan join her in America.
"We [text] every day. Call at least once a day. Try to video chat a couple times a week," Nicole revealed in an Instagram Story in April, adding that she and Azan "have been intimate."
"Trust me, he knows how lucky he is with me. I love him with all my heart forever."

"She's sticking around for her sister's wedding in June then going back to Morocco," a source close to Nicole told RadarOnline in early April.
"Her intentions are to get married while she's over there."

The source said this will be the first time Nicole has seen her fiance in person in Morocco since 2018. Nicole's daughter May will also reportedly join her for the trip.
Nicole assured her fans on Instagram, "We love each other and have worked through our mistakes... [I trust] him 100 percent," likely referring to prior cheating accusations.
Nicole also confirmed May calls Azan "Daddy" and she "loves Azan very much and misses him a lot as well."
As for speculation Azan is using Nicole for a Green Card or to be a reality TV star, she insisted on Instagram, "We want forever with each other," and she was actually the one who had convinced Azan to do another season of the 90 Day Fiance spinoff.
Nicole also claimed she and her fiance have talked about welcoming more children together in the future as well as potential baby names.
"He wants children and a life with me... Azan is a loving and caring man. He's a kind-hearted person who is very family-oriented. I love everything about him," she said.
The couple would apparently like to name their children a mix of American and Moroccan names, but Nicole acknowledged there is "still some time" before they make those decisions.

"We'll figure it out when we get there. We'll be married if that moment comes so it's not like I'll just leave him. I still want to live my life with him," Nicole explained on Instagram.
"I think we would find somewhere to build a life together even if it's not Morocco... I would live in Morocco with him for a short time (a couple years) but long term we want to live in America together."
Nicole, who has incorporated fitness and dieting into her lifestyle, also insisted in a Q&A session in April that Azan is completely into her despite what critics may think of their chemistry.
Although Azan mentioned in a previous episode of 90 Day Fiance when the pair was hitting the gym together that he was "55 percent" attracted to her, Nicole said he is definitely "fully attracted" to her looks.
"Sometimes you just need to add drama in places there isn't," said Nicole. "He knew what I looked like 100 percent before I went over [to Morocco]."
"He wouldn't ask me to change anything if I was healthy at this weight. He loves me and my body the way I am 100 percent, not 55... He always reassured me that he loved my body no matter what," she added.
Nicole recently shared that her relationship with Azan is "stronger now" because of everything they've been through as a couple on and off television.
As recently as May 16, Nicole posted a photo of Azan and captioned it, "My man crush everyday."
Nicole also took to her Instagram Stories around the same time to put some rumors to rest and reveal the couple will be launching their own YouTube channel.
"I DO NOT send Azan money regularly. May is well take care of and very happy. Yes, crazy as it seems, Azan loves me just as much as I love him. Yes I know I am worthy to be loved by someone who treats me well and Azan is that man," Nicole wrote, according to The Hollywood Gossip.
"Y'all DO NOT know Azan at all like I or his family do... The only people who will 'finally open their eyes' is y'all once y'all see our journey continued on YouTube... I [have known] Azan for THREE AND A HALF YEARS. Azan is not a 'stranger.'"

Nicole continued, "I have probably seen Azan in person before getting married [than] most of the cast members from 90 Day Fiance... Plus [Azan] doesn't have to post on IG for ME to see he loves me."
